Dillingers Drive-In Inc — Restaurant in Calumet Township

I would rate a zero but, they don't make it possible to rate a zero. I am livid!!!! This is a problem that most people endure when dealing with business like this one! I am a customer non the less and I demand great customer service from any and every establishment where and when I spend my money! On my way home I stopped by and old restaurant that I frequented when living in the area some twenty years ago. They were fast friendly and had great food. That was the memory I carried with me for over twenty years. So with all of that being said how did we get to here today. As I was a long time customer and now with a recent visit to this establishment and after talking to management, I will never come here again!!!! Here is the situation. I stopped on my way home without a second thought due to my past experience and order a vanilla milkshake. I didn't drink the milkshake in the car because it was to solid to even taste. Plus, I wanted to sit down and enjoy it! Only to get home after it had slight melted and upon tasting it, I was left with somewhat of a dish or suds like after taste. Therefore, I didn't drink the shake and decided to Chuck it up as a lost and felt that because it was nearing the end of the night maybe I got the bottom batch or something. Then I thought well hey if you never tell them they won't know and what if others had the same experience and said nothing. So, I looked up the phone number to the establishment and called. I did not call to try an attain another shake free, food or anything else from the owner. I simply contact them for their information so other customers wouldn't receive a bad experience as I just had.

When I called to explain the situation, I was place on hold for over three minutes as I could here customers talking and placing order etc. Only to have the man return to tell me in a extremely rude and cynical tone that he was "eating it now and that nothing was wrong with it and it was me". "It's your taste buds, you must have horrible taste buds because it taste fine to me". And how many shakes he had sold today. I couldn't believe the way I was being treated but, I still tried to explain that I was just calling to inform them of it. He then became extremely belligerent and continuously talked over me. Not even caring to listen to what I had to say. He completely disregarded me as a customer. Therefore, his rude comments and disrespectful disregard for me as a customer lead me to write this review.

No more sitting quietly while these type of business treat us like crap and we take it like it is okay. I'm here to make a statement to say that it is not okay!!!!!! Please people let's not continue to spend our money with these type of business and the people that provide horrible customer service and disregard us as their valuable customers. At the end of the day they forget no customers equal no business. I Know that I am only one customer but, I am one who will never step foot in or recommend this business again. Absolutely worst encounter of customer service. I'll never return and instantly got a refund. From the lack of your staff acknowledging me to the question of Demarcus/Demarco idk yall don't have name tags... asking me why he needed to tell me thank you, after ignoring me as I walked in and greeted him, a prime example of ignorance. I suppose he thought he was serving me outta his apartment by the manner which my presence for business irritated him, he is a cashier or no?...this is the person yall hired who represents your Brand & Business... horrible!!!! Treating people as such is embrassing and a clear reflection of the culture you've set forth here & tolerated., I'd give you zero stars if I could and will speak these sentiments in any and every circle which mentions or ask about you. Always hot and fresh no matter what. Wait time is about 10-15 minutes on a not so busy day. On a busy day 20-30 minutes so call before you go. Customer service always on point here! Always have good music. Classic music. The inside of the place is very.... Interesting. Named after John Dillinger ( I think that's his name) it has some artifacts inside about him such as newspapers and wanted posters. He was a mobster and public enemy #1 for a time It's real nice and ... Interesting. Food is really good. My grandma loves the food here that's how I found out about it. They never get the orders wrong. I nor my family have never said anything bad about the place!! Definitely a win. Also the manager...
