Egg Shack — Restaurant in Calumet Township

On many ocassions i have eaten here at this local breakfast joint im from the area on the first instance i was trying to order and i did that but the white girl who is so called the manager had yet to take my money she took my order but not my money she began to take other customers money and orders ok now I'm tired i just worked a 12 hr shift at the hospital i just wanna order and pay and leave now i left without paying and without food i didnt return until mos later and this same chick did the same thing only now i called my order in and i was still made to wait while she took other orders and ppl who were leaving money and when i told her i was next she said i have to take the ppl who were dining in money first REALLY STUPID when have an establishment ever ran like that i think she need to find her another job cuz she obviously is wore out from yrs of doing this because my money is just as green as the next not to mention i want my food hot its already been sitting for the time frame i had been ordered it and again i just left the hospital working over night a 12 hr shift pay attention to the fat white chick with glasses she is very rude and unprofessional i hope they talk to her on customer service cuz its always been first come first serve as well as the customer is always right you dnt pick who u want to service by who dined in or out smmfh its by who was in line first i see why she...

I didnt have a good experience and heres why. First, when my family of 6 and I walked in we were not seated and were told we can sit where ever. They didnt have any tables big enough so we quietly settled into a conjoined booth like situation. Second the menu had limited vegan and vegetarian options. This caused hubby not to eat at all. Third the bill came out to $66.01 and I was confused but I'm like whatever it was a cheat day for the kids, they happy, let's go. I send hubby and the kids to warm the car and I go up to the front and wait to pay the bill. I happen to look up and say oh that's why the bill so much. They charge an extra $2 for a booth, gratuity is automatically added and you have to buy something, if you dont you get charged a $2 sitting fee... I should have taken a picture. This sign was so small and high someone short like me would miss it everytime. I said never again. The food was bland anyway. And I'm glad I noticed cause I'm a good tipper so I was gon add another 10 and make it $76.01. Nope never again... oh and we didnt order much, two of my boys only ordered a short stack with bacon and apple juice and one ordered from the kids...

Real nice spirit of the moment experience. Imma road runner, so I ended up in CHI for the wknd. It's been quite a few yrs since I've been up around this side. But after living down south for so long, I've been deprived of that good old mama kitchen stove breakfast..😭😅..that's what this place brought bk to me! All the reason why I miss living in Philly from time to time. Don't get me wrong, I love the South, but hands down when it comes to homestyle cooked food, yeah, the north side is number one all day. Turkey links, cheese eggs, grits cooked to perfection 👌 not runny, nor thick to where it sticks to ur utensil. Everyone had a pleasant attitude. The storefront may throw u a bit, but take that step inside, and you'll come out satisfied. Imma trucker, so I advise any other drvrs to park nearby if u can. It's not suitable for trlrs at all. Other than that all around, it was just what I was looking for. I give compliments to all the staff personnel they have that warm welcoming home attitude and personality I'm used bk home.
