Sharks Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Calumet Township

It's been a while since I gave my business to a Sharks fish & chicken. My last 3 visits to various locations were very disappointing. All three times, the chicken was stake and reheated. It was cooked dry enough to use as shoe leather. On more than one occasion, the catfish steaks were sliced so thin I imagined that they had to have had access to advanced alien technology. The last time I ordered fish they gave me fish chips--not to be confused with fish & chips.

Recently, I found myself being out later than I expected and happened upon a Shark much closer to my home than the other three locations I was used to visiting. In the same breathe I was grateful for the near proximity of the new store, but also cursing the circumstances that had me there.

I ordered six wings and asked them to NOT fry them hard. The order taker shouted out, "Six wings, fry medium." The cook answered antiphonally. It reminded me of a black church choir. I was relieved.

After a while I reminded the order taker, who in turn reminded the cook, that the wings should be cook to medium doneness. The cook immediately grabbed the fry basket out of the hot oil and motioned and smiled and said something akin to "Voila!" in another language. Thinking about his possible knife skills I returned the smile and thanked smile several times before I made my exit.

When I got the chicken home I found it to be fried a little harder than than I like it but it was fresh, tasty, and had been served with a smile. I know I swore off Shark's as a whole but I may be tempted to visit this store again. We'll have to see what the fried...

We received two order of catfish and chicken strips. All were inedible. The catfish was cold and “gooey” as well as the chicken.

I called and asked if I could bring the food back and have it remade. The gentleman who answered informed me that he would not remake the food because he is busy.

I asked if I could have a refund if I brought the food back. He informed me that he would not give me a refund because, again, he is busy.

We have been ordering food from here for years and this was our first issue. I can’t believe they would treat a loyal customer this way.

After trying to call in my didn't order, never answered the phone, pull up trying order yet again over the phone,because doors lock, I pull up drive order my food specifically stated no Lemon pepper on food the lady repeated order. Paid for my order got home guess lemonpepper all over my food.
