Walking in, the aroma of the cooking is veritably enchanting. It smells fresh, nurturing, and welcoming. Like coming home after a long day to a kitchen where auntie has been cooking all day.
Service was personable, friendly, easy, and cheerful. Workers seem happy and relaxed. They play their own music, and have excellent taste! Real good music in a variety of genres.
Ingredients as always (I've been before) are fresh and delicious. I get my food here without any sauces — the ingredients speak for themselves.
I had an Arabic yogurt drink alongside my food. I found it refreshing, and the sour cultured milk was a nice pallete cleanser for my spicy food.
The cost is very affordable for the portion, especially since they serve ample portions of nutritious vegetables and meat — this is not mostly rice and beans. It's well-seasoned meats, and fresh well-prepared vegetables in good ratios.
Seating area and kitchen were both immaculately clean and well organized. Workers clean up after themselves and customers promptly and thoroughly. They clearly take pride in their work, and they should.
Workers know the menu and facilities well, and answer questions off the top of their head. They made suggestions and understood my needs and goals, and happily helped me get what I wanted, how I wanted it.
One thing I really liked seeing was one of the older gentlemen who seemed to me like an experienced veteran chef keeping an eye on the younger one who helped me.
It seems they look out for their own and support, protect, and help each other — this makes me feel happy coming here, because so often these days kitchens divide their workers.
These hard-working folks seem to be on the same team, and supporting and educating each other, which makes me feel more taken care of and safe in their hands — as a customer, I want to know that the service and food I'm getting is carefully vetted and supervised by the most experienced people there, and that is what I observed happening.
I have a rather extreme exercise regiment, and as a small adult man, this was still easily two meals worth of balanced nutrition for me. I added some olive oil at home to bolster the second half, which kept just fine until the next day, and tasted almost as good re-warmed.
Lovely place. Lovely folks. Doing a phenomenal job with great ingredients and...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Halal Guys, and I must say, it was an incredible experience that left a lasting impression on my taste buds. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly staff who made me feel right at home.
The menu offered a fantastic variety of mouthwatering options, and being a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine, I couldn't wait to indulge in their famous platters. I opted for their classic chicken and gyro combo over rice, and it was nothing short of perfection. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the rice was cooked to perfection, complemented by their signature white sauce and hot sauce that added the perfect balance of creaminess and spice.
What impressed me the most was the generous portions they served. Every bite was a delightful explosion of flavors, leaving me completely satisfied and eager to return for more. The ingredients tasted fresh, and it was evident that they take immense pride in the quality of their food.
Moreover, the ambiance of the restaurant was vibrant and inviting, with a perfect blend of modern and traditional elements. It was clear that they put thought into creating a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience for their customers.
I would highly recommend Halal Guys to anyone in search of delicious, authentic halal food. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or new to exploring it, you won't be disappointed. Their dedication to quality, excellent service, and delectable flavors make them a standout choice.
In conclusion, my visit to Halal Guys was an absolute delight, and I look forward to returning soon to savor more of their delectable offerings. Kudos to the entire team for providing an outstanding dining experience that celebrates the essence of halal food. Halal Guys has undoubtedly won a loyal...
Read moreI was quite looking forward to Halal Guys opening a location right here in my neighborhood as its one of the many things I missed since I moved up here from NY.
I had some reservations on the price knowing it most likely won't be like what we pay for when it was just served out of food trucks. If the food was awesome I had no qualms about paying for it, but honestly the food itself wasn't too spectacular either unfortunately. I'm mostly biased since I've eaten quite many different chicken/gyro over rice plates when I was living and working in NYC so I try not to be too harsh.
Honestly my biggest pet peeve would be the portion size of the salad as it took up half of the container already before anything else gets added. The chicken seems not as flavorful as well, tasted more like rotisserie chicken and lacked in spices that you usually see. The gyro however I had no complaints definitely one of the better components in the platter. I tend not to like the white sauce too much but it's nice that the staff didn't just go ahead and spray it all over the plate before I asked her to go easy on the sauce haha.
I think they'll do well at this location seeing there's really a lack of gyro/chicken rice variety here so it does fill a need but for me it'll just make me miss the NYC halal food carts even more...
