My boyfriend and I ate here on Saturday 3/13. I’ve always loved La Fiesta, their food is absolutely delicious. I’ve always ordered take out especially during the pandemic. I brought my bf here so he could try the food as I always talk a lot about how delicious the food is. Well we got there and was told to just take a seat outside and someone would be with us. Great. We did that. Got our menus. Got our drinks and went on with dinner. Waitress comes back and we order some queso and a quesadilla for an appetizer. Waitress brought our queso out but we were still waiting for chips. She looked super confused as to why we hadn’t gotten chips yet. Another girl came out about 4 minutes later with chips and salsa. We’ve now finished all our chips, and half our queso and our quesadillas came out. About 20 minutes after our queso. Now at this point we have no chips left. Low on drinks, and we are literally watching 5 other tables get refills on drinks and chips and NO ONE is paying attention to us. And I mean it felt like we were sitting at a table all the way in the back of the restaurant by ourselves. WE WERE IGNORED FOR AT LEAST 45 minutes. There honestly came a point in time that we were going to just leave money on the table and leave. Just as I was about to ask our waitress for our check our food came. Obviously she didn’t listen because part of our order was wrong. When our food was dropped by a runner the waitress came and asked if we needed anything and we honestly just wanted to leave so I asked for 2 to go boxes and our check. We were told we got our check at the register and the to go boxes she would bring right out. 20 minutes after that my boyfriend went inside to get to go boxes and was completely ignored while standing there. Waitress comes back out 10 mins later and asked “ you didn’t get your to go boxes?” Well no because you didn’t bring them. Finally got our food packed up and someone came by and asked if we got all our food and how it was. And I just let loose about how the service was absolutely terrible and we’ve been ignored and about everything that was wrong. Then he said the magic words we will get you taken care of. Now honestly I don’t expect anything for free. It would have been nice but maybe an apology from the owner or something. But we didn’t even get that. We were actually greeted at the register with what did you order and the lady had to sort through about 15 receipts to find ours. That was an ABSOLUTE clusterf**k. All in all. I will never ever return to La Fiesta. Not even for take out. 5 out of 5 starts for the food and quality. But -5 out of 5 for service and anything else. I suggest if you do want to eat here, get take out and expect to wait 20 mins to actually pay for your food and get it. And make sure...

I always come to this location, even after one time I called in a pickup order and didn’t receive my second meal in the bag and had already left and had to come back. I would think they’d say don’t worry about it you don’t have to pay for your inconvenience or a free chips anything but no. I had to wait for my order to get cooked and pay same price. So this time it was no surprise when I called in for a pick up order for my meal and cheese dip. I got there and she rang me up and after I already paid for the meal she said the cheese dip wasn’t on the ticket so I said OK I still want it ring it up which she did, so she said it’s $4.25 I said OK. (When he handed me my dip he didn’t even give the chips I had to ask or I wouldn’t have gotten any smh) So The sign says no card transaction less than seven dollars and I didn’t have cash so she said something about can’t ring it up for less than five dollars. I just looked at her because it sounded like she wasn’t even talking to me anyways like under her breath. So she charged $5.46 and I didn’t realize. I called back later to get a refund…I don’t care if it’s $1 it’s my money. She told me I had said ok that’s fine when I know I didn’t. Then said I have to come back same day if I want my money back and bring cash. I said I live a ways away and that would be wasting gas and that this was technically the girl who took my order over the phones fault for not putting it on the original ticket. You would think she’d say OK let’s work something out. All she said was “what do you want me to do” and I can’t go the next day, no kind of sorry for the inconvenience or anything. I hate to sound like a Karen because I’m 22 and I NEVER write reviews and I’m always nice, but this was unfair. They barely give any food anyways so I don’t think I...

We went to listen to music and to eat and have a great meal. We had reservations. They gave them to someone else. We had to wait 1 hour. Then once we were seated, we received chips 10 minutes later. No salsa. Then somebody came and took a order 20 minutes later. And then 5 minutes after that they brought us something to drink. We still did not have salsa. So we were just sitting there with a basket of chips for now at this time almost an hour. Then our food came. It was not the right food for either one of us. Which seem to be happening throughout the night to people. My food was unidentifiable meat. The waitress didn't know what it was. The server did not know what it was. So that was alarming. The manager did come out and explain it they had a new meat cutter and that he cut the meat wrong. And sent the fatty part out and that's what was all white and bulgy nasty looking on my plate. He assured me it was beef lol. This is a common complaint for Friday nights when they have music. He says he has a hard time getting help. At that point I understood. I run my own business and I have a hard time getting help as well. It was just not a good night and being served something that could not be identified was a...

In terms of aesthetics, La Fiesta is hands-down one of the coolest Mexican places I've ever been to. The outside of the restaurant is covered with beautiful shrubbery, and the inside of the restaurant was complete with beautiful Mexican artwork. When I walked inside, I wasn't aware of the fact that you were supposed to seat yourself, and stood awkwardly at the front for a few minutes before asking the guy at the counter if I was supposed to seat myself or wait to be seated. It would've been nice if he would've just said "you can seat yourself sir" rather than having me hover over him for 2-3 minutes. In addition, the waitresses were very kind, but what I found slightly odd was that I had three (3) different girls waiting on me. They were all very nice and attentive, I just don't really know why I didn't just have one (1) singular waitress. Finally, the food and drink was pretty good, but really just your basic Mexican. I will definitely come back the next time I come through town!

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this ain't it. The menu has seriously been flavored down to suit those with unsophisticated pallettes. The item they called a Chile relleno was hamburger meat on top of a small piece of pepper with this thin layer of egg batter. The salsa isn't the worst I've had, but pretty watered down (a tell sign they are cutting corners to save on costs). The wait staff consists of two people. The nice one who was faster and checked on us (the reason for the 2nd star) but the other gal clearly did not want to be at work. Our plates were taken away quickly before I could take a pic, but I'm pretty forgiving on Mexican food...this is more like Tex Mex. Oh and they charge you a $1.25 if you want to use your credit card!

Love the atmosphere! Food was just ok. My talapia was seasoned perfectly, but as a whole fish, it creates a lot of work to get bites of flesh without bones. Shrimp tacos came with less variety of toppings as promised, so they were bland. Servers were friendly but not seen at our table often and drinks weren't refilled. Waited quite awhile for the check to find out it's not coming, pay at the register inside...(a common complaint I have from a multitude of restaurants in SC, mostly because we aren't warned and can't look at receipt ahead of time to check for errors and contemplate the tip.) I would recommend trying this place. Lots of interesting things on the menu and often great music on the weekends.
