This is one of the better thrift stores around the lake, and not just because it supports a very active animal shelter. Everyone that works here is a volunteer and the average age of those volunteers seems to be about 75 sometimes. :-) It had a major over haul awhile ago and now the clothes are right in front, smart. There is a nice mixture of furniture of all kinds, inside and out, tons of books, kitchen things, collectibles and the occasional, major score. Last week I was looking around and happened to look up, which I seldom do. Hanging on the wall was a vertical, dark brown tote bag. A volunteer retrieved it for me and I found out it was 100% leather! Beautiful hardware, great shoulder strap, $5.00!!! When I paid for it I wanted to run out before they discovered what a find it was! The pricing can be inconsistent and sometimes you get lucky like I do. Read moreThis company is a group of liars. I adopted a “healthy” dog from them and it turns out, she is not. She has serious problems with her back left leg due to a prior injury and surgery. They lied about her age, they lied about giving her vaccines, they lied about her leg (when they knew; they had all her medical records AND a statement from the woman who surrendered the dog). I filed a small claims case and they went to court and lied there too. I begged them for help because I don’t have the income for a disabled dog.
