As someone who's parents owned Persian restaurants and other establishments growing up on the East Coast, I know good Persian food and great costumer service. So to say that neither have really existed for me, since the first time I ate here is an understatement. For example their floors are always dirty, they use Christmas time bread liners during the summer and their furniture is so old that when you try to move the chair you can feel a slimy sticky film on the wood. But unfortunately there is no great sit down alternatives close to us and so we have been regular costumers of this restaurant. And by regular I mean my three kids ONLY ask to go there and we oblige at least weekly when we want to eat out. And we also go there on every other occasion there is like birthdays and when unable to dine in we take out food as well. Now I know my kids are no angels, but they are little and playful, and we do our best to keep them well behaved and typically go there only on days and times when there is literally only us or just a handful of people there. But yesterday we had a very busy day so we couldn't go until the evening. When we drove past I saw they had their disco lights on and got excited for my kids to also get to see this part of the restaurant. My husband walked in before us and although more packed than they ever were there were PLENTY of seats avaliable. The lady had acknowledged he was there and looked like she was about to give him a seat. BUT as soon as I walked in with my three girls the tables turned and the extremely rude lady who is always there taking orders came out to the front and said "Do you have a reservation?" We said no and she tur ed around and said "We only seat reservations on Saturday nights, so we can't seat you!" Now I find it extremely hard to believe she could not have fit us easily into the many empty seats that were there and there was literally no one else waiting to be seated so it was clear that this particular time she just didn't want to to deal with my kids. She didn't even offer to have us get take out. Needless to say we will NEVER go back there and they lost very good customers. We then took our business to another establishment where they were extremely welcoming to our girls and even gifted them with beautiful toys at the end of dinner for them being so well behaved. Do yourself a favor and don't step foot in a place where not only is the food not great but...
Read moreThis is the second time Negeen canceled my table on the weekend. The first time, I reserved a table for 2, one month in advance because I wanted to make sure my friend I have a table to watch belly dancing performance. My friend arrived first and was told there was no reservation. The waitress was rude and aloof saying that we should have called in one day before to confirm the reservation!!!???? Later on, they added a table that was half on the stage. The music was loud and we waited for a long time for the menu and dish to come. We were angry by the time because of the bad service, so we told the manager we were leaving, he got mad and yelled at us "OUT" !!!!!! They are the rudest and most careless restaurant I have ever been to!
The second time happened on Sunday 9/24/2023. Again, I reserved a table for 2 for a friend and myself. My friend arrived and was told there was no table reserved under my name!!!!. He was told to sit anywhere he wanted. Not only had the restaurant staff been rude and unprofessional, they just did my friends wrong. I had another group of friends come to the restaurant on the same day, so I wanted to sit with them and chat for a bit. A waitress came and tried to take my order. I told her I already ordered at another table with my other friend. She then frowned and later I found out the chair was taken away from the table, so I was unable to sit with my friends. I don't understand why they were so unfriendly to their guests. Do not expect the restaurant to provide standard American customer service here. You are only setting yourself up for frustration.
To the restaurant: If you don't reserve a table for two, tell your guests upfront, not until the guest has arrived, and say: "We don't have your reservation."
With multiple terrible dining experiences, I was extremely sorry to my friends who I invited to dine in here. The service provided at Negeen has...
Read moreA Fresh Chapter for a Campbell Classic. As someone who has been involved with Negin Restaurant for nearly three decades as a regular customer and as the real estate broker who’s had the privilege of helping facilitate its sale to the last three owners I’ve seen this beloved Persian eatery evolve through many stages. And I must say, under the current management, Negin has reached an exciting new high. The recent full renovation has transformed the space into a modern, stylish dining environment that still retains the warm hospitality Negin is known for. The atmosphere now feels both fresh and welcoming, perfect for both casual lunches and elegant dinners. I dined there again just this past Friday with friends, and it was incredible to see how many people were genuinely excited by the updated ambiance and even more so by the exceptional food. While Negin has always served quality Persian cuisine, now the management has taken it to the next level. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavor. The service was equally impressive, attentive, efficient, and genuinely kind. If you’ve never been to Negin, I highly encourage you to try it. And if you haven’t been in a while, it’s time to rediscover it. I’m confident that once you visit, you’ll be hooked—just like so many others who are discovering (or rediscovering) this gem in the heart...
