Came here for a party of seven on a Friday night around 6:45 PM. We put our name down on Yelp and were the first party on the list, but we waited around 40 minutes for a table to clear up. There was plenty of space in the restaurant, just not enough long tables to accommodate seven people since there's only a tiny section indoors for bigger parties. I thought they would merge two small tables together, but that didn't happen. The other party of seven behind us with kids decided to just sit outside.
Our server Sophie was aware of our wait and was super friendly. She gave suggestions on food and remembered who ordered what as well as our changes/preferences to our dishes. We were impressed!
For appetizers, we got the cheese curds and the calamari. I liked how crispy the breading on the calamari was. It also came with sliced peppers, cocktail sauce, and some sort of chipotle aioli.
The cheese curds were soft and squishy. I think both of them had the same breading and they were addicting.
There's an array of pizzas, salads, burgers, and other American fare to choose from. I split a Steve Austin burger with my brother. We I asked for the meat to be medium rare and it was perfectly cooked, very juicy. The serrano pepper inside was spicy! We customized our fries to be Nashville fries. We found that the fries' portion that came with the entrees was good enough for sharing instead of buying a whole set of fries for the table. The Nashville dry seasoning had a kick to it.
I got to try a slice of the bacon pear pizza. It was delicious! The crust itself was perfectly soft and went well with ranch. The thickness of the crust and the balance of the toppings was perfect.
The flight is $16. I liked the presentation. There's plenty of choices to pick from. I got one of everything: a sour, an IPA, a stout, and a red ale. The mallow sour was a hit; it didn't have an overwhelming marshmallow smell/taste.
All in all, this is a chill spot to watch sports and catch up with friends/go on a date. There's some brews and bites for...
Read moreI ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE. First time in here today and I was so impressed. We were greeted by Sofia with a big smile on her face and super welcoming. After being seated we were met with just high quality service from the beginning to the end. Sofia was thorough, such a positive and warm presence she brought to the table every time. She gave us great recommendations. She wasn’t over bearing but made good use of her time and checked in on us regularly. As I saw her move around the restaurant she was killing it! Each employee I came into contact with was an absolute joy. What I really enjoyed was watching the manager at the expo, not only supporting the servers, he was running the expo, checking the tickets, just hard working and focused on service. The food was soooooooooo good!!! I can’t wait to come back and try the whole menu! We got the loaded tots (melt in your mouth) , Gilroy pizza and the Steve Austin burger. They were so delicious, food was hot and fresh. The beers, it’s like a beer wonderland. So many great choices from a lot of great Breweries in the Healdsburg and Monterey area and Russian river. Do not leave without taking some beer home! We had just came from the hospital dealing with my husbands mom and we were feeling pretty down but was instantly cheered up by Sofia and Brew City Grill. When we’re leaving the sweetest gentleman running food to his table even stopped to say bye to us and wish us well. I could go on and on but I can tell Ownership and Management really care about service and food. It’s completely apparent by how they run this place. They have incredible hardworking servers/cooks. I haven’t had good service and food like this in a while! Thank you Sofia and the rest of the staff!!! I would give 10 stars if I could!!...
Read moreStick to the classics on the menu. Just had an October meal here. While the burgers, housemade chips, and calamari appetizer were just as tasty and wonderful as I've come to love from this place, the special Oktoberfest items were sadly lacking. I decided to order the German burger with spaetzle on the side. The spaetzle was bland and unseasoned and tasted no different from plain pasta. It also was mixed with cheese and onions, neither of which belong on traditional spaetzle. The purple "sauerkraut" was nothing but straight shredded cabbage that was entirely raw with no additional ingredients, no sauer part to it at all. The cabbage alone made a decent texture variation for the burger, same as lettuce might do, but added nothing to the flavor. And what they called "bratwurst" on their bratwurst nachos was nothing of the kind. It looked and tasted more like the pre-cooked sausage that comes out of those supermarket packages, and was not even the right color for bratwurst. It's a good thing the burger was just as amazingly cooked and tasty as it usually is, because the German parts tasted like an amateur cook had looked at a list of German foods to make without bothering to check any recipes, or even taste any actual German food first. Thankfully, these items are only temporary, which is why I still give this place 4 stars...5 for the classic items, 1 for the specials. I'm very glad that they kept the same pride they always had in their classic menu...I'll stick to those items...
