Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Campton Hills

I ordered two cakes for my daughter's birthday party. Went inside to do so. The blizzard cake was fine. No issues (nothing custom there). The sheet cake was the issue. I repeatedly told him that this was a jungle theme- said "cheetah print" several times (he wrote it down). I told him they could do whatever design worked with a JUNGLE theme -I did the same thing with my son's cake before and they did a great job on his shark theme (didn't know there was new ownership this time). The day of the party, I sent my sister to pick it up because I was busy decorating. She brought back a cake with the correct writing on it (Happy birthday with my daughter's name) but the cake had cacti, llamas, and chilli peppers on it. That is not a jungle theme at all. I had to take those off and run out to buy something to put on the cake instead. Luckily, what I found at the store worked but I was really disappointed that it was not correct, I had to spend more money to fix it myself, and it took time out of the day when I could have been adding more decorations to the party. It is so sad to see this dairy queen go down. This place use to be clean, friendly and had good service. I definitely do not recommend going there. I'm not sure if there is new ownership, but it is so incredibly dirty. Garbage everywhere. No sanitation rules are being followed. On one occasion going through the drive through the guy who was serving and handing us out icecream was also handling the garbage. The garbage was right there in sight as he was pushing it down and grabbing our cones. On a second occasion, again through the drive through, the guy handling our icecream literally picked up a cone he dropped and handed it to another guy who proceeded to use it and then hand it to us. On a third (and mind you, my last time there) my daughter and niece went inside and the place was absolutely filthy. The girl serving their icecream dropped the cookie dough bites and proceeded to use the ones she had dropped on the very dirty counter and use some and put some back into the container. I ordered a Banana Split Blizzard cake on Sunday, was told she would make it on Wednesday to be picked up today on Friday. The cake I received was nothing like I expected. It was mostly vanilla ice cream. It had strawberries and pineapple on top and very little actual Banana Split Blizzard at all. To top it off, it was soft. By the time it made the 10-minute drive to the destination it was starting to slide apart. When I called to complain about the cake I was told she had made it herself that morning. When I asked why she would wait until the morning of to make an ice cream cake she told me it was because her freezer was broken and she had nowhere to put it.
