Was really excited to see a venue bringing in more shows locally until my experience last night. I took my 10 year old son to see Third Eye Blind, we got there before doors opened just to make sure we go close to front of General Admission so he would be sure to see.
Opening band starts and he and I are standing and having a good time. Then security comes up and tells me that we have to sit down... that we're not allowed to stand in general admission. Mind you there are no chairs, but you could bring a lawn chair if you chose too. We did not bring lawn chairs because we were anticipating being at a rock concert and being able to stand, dance, and sing like every other general admission section I've ever been to at any concert everywhere.
We were told that we were not allowed to stand in the general admission area because people in lawn chairs couldn't see.
We moved down some to try to accommodate the people directly behind us to where some other people were standing up as well.
Then security came up again and said we were not allowed to stand anywhere in general admission and that if we refused to sit down, we would have to be removed.
I really am disappointed in the lack of knowledge this venue seems to have on how concerts work. The point of general admission is first come first serve, and if you get there early and you get up front you get to stand, or sit (your choice) and see better. Especially when you have a child shorter than everyone else there.
To be told that you're not allowed to stand in general admission and threatened to be removed because my son and I were dancing and enjoying a concert together is absolutely ridiculous.
Completely ruined my experience and I will never go see another show...
Read moreWe have been seeing a lot of promotions for this place so we went for lunch today. I had a burger with jalapenos with a side of tots. Could not taste the jalapenos at all, no heat there so don't waste your money. What surprised me the most, I expected this to be a high end restaurant but it's just a burger/sandwich/beer venue. When you walk in you immediately place your order from a paper menu at the front entry desk. I expected servers and menus like a real restaurant. To order you give them your phone number so they can text you when your food is ready at the back counter. Not sure how you get to eat if you don't have a phone? If you don't like sharing your phone number with commercial establishments this model may not be friendly. Drinks are self serve then you seat yourself in the open seating area. When food is ready you get a text, but between the music and people chatting I did not hear the text so my food cooled for 3 minutes til I glanced at my phone. Your meals come on a tray. The good thing about self serve, I don't tip at a diner where I have to order standing up or have to retrieve my own food, so I save a few bucks. Overall it was an okay experience with okay food. There is a lot of pretty neon and the dining area is not large but there's more outside seating. I am not sure how the tables are cleaned, this was a Sunday and we saw people and groups eating and leaving but didn't see anyone cleaning the tables. So don't be surprised if have to hunt a bit to find a clean table. Overall it was okay, no big complaints but also nothing that would make me want...
Read moreI really like how this place is run. Simple, easy in, easy out. Parking procedures were low/no stress. Read the venue rules and FAQ online before hand and you will have zero issues. Security checkpoint was fast friendly and thorough. Kid friendly. Took my kids, had no issues. People were friendly and polite, plenty of space to have breathing room. Take your lawn chairs.
I saw someone posting they took their 10 year old to see Third Eye Blind and had all kinds of issues. We were at that very same show in general admission just like them. They apparently didn’t being lawn chairs for starters. The venue has lawn chairs conveniently for rent for only $8!! Good grief. And yes dont stand in GA it’s very rude. Pay extra for the pit if you want to stand. I had my 4, 8, and 11 year old there (ear protection is a must), had zero issues that person was describing. I was there the whole time and we had a wonderful time. Nothing like he described… and no you werent “not allowed” to stand. Thats bs. Everyone in GA was standing towards the end of the show for jumper. semi and how’s. You just cant be towering in front of people in a lawn chair section. If you get mad about that.. then get pit...
