Whataburger — Restaurant in Canyon

This might be the worst run Whataburger I have been to. I have been there twice since moving back for school. The first time I ordered take out and when I showed up I went up to the counter and they said they were just waiting on fries which was strange since I didn’t have fries in my order. So I waited and went back up about 20 minutes later after they still haven’t brought out my order and then they go in the back to check and it turns out they gave it to somebody in the drive through. So of course it takes another 30 minutes for me to get my food and on top of that they did not give me my hash browns.

The next time I went I had ordered on the app ahead of time and got there a few minutes after the time range it was said to be ready. I go up to the counter and ask them and they say they are waiting on fries again. (I guess this is the go to line when they don’t know what’s happening?). So I waited for about 30 minutes waiting for them to bring my food out before I went up to the counter again to see what was going on. So she goes in the back and it is just sitting there by the drive through window. And on top of all that the food was room temperature.

I went to Whataburger for the first time while at Canyon, Texas. Atmosphere was good, staff was good, vibrant. 😊 I found the signing offer of "Free Burger 🍔" which didn't get applied on my Whataburger app. I was about to order something else then, and this STAFF "KALYB 🫂" who's an 18 year old employee of Whataburger stepped in, opted a "7.89$ Avocado Bacon Burger" for me and paid out of his pocket with a Discovery Credit card [🗓️ July 10th, 2025 at 01:32 PM CST🕜]. Before I even realized, the payment went through and this 18 year old 6'1'' guy just won my heart. I asked for his number and I said "Brother, I want you to someday come to my place and I will cook some delicious Indian food for you 😋". He agreed and even later told me how I can avail the offer using the bill I had at hand 🧾. WHATABURGER higher chain of command(s), if you people are reading this Google review of mine, make note of this. These kind of fast and immediate step-in "gestures" by employees like "KALYB" makes the franchise's name go a long way. Appreciate this gentleman for me again please. I will try and visit...
