I am Ivana. I am responding to Lisa's Esposito reply. First of all, these reviews are of patrons opinions. There is no reason to get defensive sweetie. Our opinions were based on OUR experience. Other people's experiences were wonderful because they probably haven't many dining experiences. And that's ok too. Our experience was based on everything as a whole. The review was not solely based on only the service as you took to be personal based on your reply. As a full blooded Italian who ran my own Italian restaurant in Italy, my expectations were very high as Colleonis claims to be an authentic Italian restaurant. In our OPINION we found the food to be very small portioned based on the prices. We 'cleaned' our plates because we were hungry and left still hungry. I apologize that the food did not meet our expectations. Giving you a $2 tip was inclusive our visit. You being a single mom has no bearing on the tip left. If we decide to visit there again, we will definitely voice our concerns. Thank you for your opinion as well. As you pointed out that you are a single mother, I am as well. So when we go out to treat ourselves, we expect to get what we pay for, which includes great service, great food and reasonable prices. We have no problem spending a lot of money on food. But we don't feel that we should leave still feeling hungry. But we feel that the prices /portion ratio was ridiculous. Which is no fault of yours. You have a blessed day and good luck in your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time. Made a reservation easily through Yelp. Small quarters, but COZY atmosphere which we liked for celebrating a birthday dinner! Friendly waitress and staff. Our food was delicious!! I had the ravioli with mushroom sauce. Yum. Other members had lasagna, which was delicious. Very tasty meat sauce. Eggplant, and a linguine Bolognese something like that! The portions were smaller, not anything left over to take home! Brad was served with dipping sauce when we were seated, but other than that dinners were not served with any salad or sides. We ordered the antipasto appetizer because it boasted a variety of meats and cheeses with bread. This was the only item I was a bit disappointed with. Everything was very tasty, but the cheese on the board was just shavings, and I thought the whole thing a little skimpy. The warm bread was toasted and had a shredded lettuce, onion type topping which we thought was very yummy. The olives were some of the best I have ever tasted! We ordered one Tiramisu and one piece of banana coconut cake, which was absolutely delightful. If you love banana, then order this cake! The mochachino was very yummy and the regular coffee was perfect for me. Not too weak, not too strong... Definitely a nice medium bold. Will definitely return to try more great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was mediocre and very expensive but service was even worse. If you visit Colleoni's you better bring your own bread because they aren't going to give you much! We ordered the bruschetta for $11 and it came with two tiny pieces of scorched toast. No bread was offered with our entrees and we would have gladly paid for a basket if offered. We had to ask for some and the waitress brought out a saucer with 4 tiny cubes of bread on it. It almost seemed as though there should be a hidden camera somewhere! Our waitress spent most of the time tending to her mother who was seated by the door drinking beer and at one point she even sat down at the table to chat with her and left us waiting for refills. As we were finishing our meal I witnessed another waitress drop a spoon on the floor, pick it up and wipe it off with a napkin and then place that same spoon in a basket with other clean spoons. Its a real shame because the inside is decorated nicely and has a quaint homey feel to it. as a side note the bathrooms are on the outside of the restaurant which isn't bad thing really but they were pretty dirty and I wonder how one would fair having to go during a rainstorm. I would say skip this one as we will...
