My girlfriend and I came in for lunch today, both of us starving, but not familiar with the area and wanting to try something more local.

The presentation of this place is great. It's a lovely space that they make excellent use of.

I really enjoyed my chicken fried rice. The chefs there clearly understand that giant chunks of chicken in that dish disrupt how it should be eaten, so they chop it quite small. It's great. My only complaint was that this batch of rice was a little dehydrated or undercooked. And I do mean a little. It was noticeable, but did not make me not want to eat it. I probably wouldn't even mention it, but my girlfriend had some and also commented on it. It was still delicious, easily my favorite I've had in the whole county.

The reason this place didn't get five stars from me is how long it took for my girlfriend to receive her food. I eat slowly, so me getting my rice before her sushi is not the end of the world. But she noticed a sushi dish sitting waiting above the sushi bar, and there was only one other group of patrons at the time, and they'd already been served.

I didn't track how long it was (I was enjoying my rice), but I think it was a solid 10 minutes or more before that dish my girlfriend had been staring at made it to our table. Once she finally got to dig in, I asked how it was, and the response I got was, "it's okay."

So, the atmosphere is awesome, the rice is great. Personally, I think how a place cooks its most basic dishes (like chicken fried rice) says a lot about them, and they did an awesome job at it. But if I'd been on the other side of the table, watching my food just sit for that long, I'd have probably left feeling very sour about the experience.

I understand that we're all human, things happen, whatever. We were the only people in that establishment who still had food coming, and no one bothered to notice until our waitress arrived again.

I have a feeling I'll be back to get some more of that rice to go, but I doubt I'll end up eating inside again, which is a shame considering how nice it is in there.

I hate giving a place three stars like this, but I think...

Sigh. I want to like this place more than I do. There are so few options for Asian food in Lee County, that when a new one is added my family is very excited. However, we have ordered twice from here and it’s been a less than stellar experience.

  1. the prices are INSANE considering the food is mediocre. I feel like they are preying on the idea that most people on this side of town down know Asian food well, and are older/retired more than not etc. because the equivalent of LO MEIN with beef is 33$ and I promise you it’s not fine dining cuisine. It’s mall food at best, and that’s being generous. $5.50 for a single piece of tuna sushi that tasted like 2$ at best. 7.50$ for “cheese fried pastry” it’s pastry dough and mild sharp cheddar cheese and that’s IT. Like. Are you kidding me?

13.50$ for fried rice LOL. And it was salty and has no umami flavors or even steak in it! The pieces were minced meat and far and few in between.

11-12$ a basic roll and 20+ for anything that isn’t one fish and plain rice.

I am all for expensive food if it’s WORTH IT but it’s just not here unfortunately.

  1. they are extremely understaffed and have extreme delays (as you can see in other reviews too). We ordered food at 8. Our driver said there was 15 min delay an hour later and then 30 min from then I had to reach out and inquire again before they finally gave the driver the food. I tried to call but no one answered. Finally our dinner arrived at almost 10pm. Very late and we are tired and starving.

Their sushi isn’t awful it’s just not worth near the prices they put it at. I think they are truly trying to take advantage of the demographic in this area with those prices. I’m not from here so I have much more to compare it to, and yeah-this just ain’t it. Not gonna...

The short: Exciting delious mystery and delight...exactly what you want from a sushi bar...and then it goes way beyond that for an even more exciting experience. Foodies...enjoy!

The long: You can taste careful handling...you just know it when you get it. And finally...there is a great restaurant serving very delicious food in a fun and modern atmosphere. This place is fantastic and fun, great ambiance, music, lighing, and smells. Everything is super fresh and delicious, very well made and a very professional service team. We had 11 people in our party in the front room. The service team executed perfectly.

The food, we had a lot of food, we have a picky bunch, from 10 yrs old to 70...everyone was very impressed and very happy. Apps: Special Ceviche (not on menu) - a smash hit, explosion of flavor with hominy of all choices, adding such a great taste and texture...very suprising & loved it. Special Tostones (not on menu) - shrimp or chicken (very fun) on menu apps...all incredible

Mains: Absolutely nailed the classics that people expect. it was all fresh and delicious and perfect flavour pick anything and expect yummy

Desserts: Thai Donuts (beignets)...a perfection of confection TEMPURA ICE CREAM...a mega hit, you want it all...so good!

So we had a great experience but I'll let you in on a little secret. They also serve Cuban coffee! Maybe you picked up on the tostones? If you ask for it, you can also get Cuban style editions of dishes that smash and are incredibly delicious. It's a wonderful place!

FM has an ugly strip mall problem...everything is in an old strip mall and they're all ugly. But ignore that. just enjoy this unique and special place.

It's now our...

That was an absolutely amazing experience. I’m European, and I’ve already gotten used to the fact that it’s quite hard to find restaurants of this “modern” style in the US that still manage to maintain a good balance between price and food quality. I’m a big Japanese cuisine lover, so I’ve visited quite a lot of Asian restaurants in Florida and Texas, which were usually old-fashioned and pretty average in food quality, but this one was not the case. My boyfriend and I found this spot completely by accident while searching on Google Maps for a place to eat sushi, and we never regretted that decision. We were greeted by the owner at the entrance. It was very crowded, but we didn’t have to wait too long to get our seats. The food was absolutely fantastic. It reminded me of the taste of my favorite rolls that I used to eat in my home country, but hadn’t been able to find anything alike since I moved here. My boyfriend has very specific tastes, and it’s usually really challenging to make him like rolls with raw fish, but even he admitted that he had never tried such delicious rolls before. The only thing that I think needs improvement is the service. Our server was always in a rush, and I could barely ask her about menu items. Later, we couldn’t find her at all to order anything else. We do understand that there were a lot of people and not enough staff, but we would have enjoyed our experience more if we had been guided through the menu and if we hadn’t been left alone after not being fast enough to order everything we wanted at once.

We tried Sushi Sake off of Mcgregor in Fort Myers (Cibo, Crave, and Lazy Flamingo plaza) tonight. The restaurant had a nice design to it and they even have the traditional zataku table (I believe that’s what they are called). Since they are still not at full capacity, there seemed to be a lot of staff waiting around. We started with the tuna tataki and edamame. I must admit I was disappointed when the edamame was brought out barely half full in the bowl. Most places serve an overflowing bowl. They had mentioned happy hour, so I didn’t say anything thinking it was happy hour portioned, but when the bill came it was still $6 and there was no seasoning on them. So that part was just way over priced, hopefully it was sent out in error. For rolls we had the volcano roll, tiger roll, spicy conch, and California rolls. I would say they were good, but not great. While we all still had some food on our plate, we were asked if we were ready for the check, seemed somewhat rushed. We were debating dessert, but decided to just take the check. They have a sushi bar but the seats are positioned in front of the bar portion and not the sushi chefs, just thought I’d mention since I saw many people try to sit at the sushi bar but then requested to move when they realized it wasn’t where they were expecting. I would rate the overall experience 4/5. I would go back again after some time, allow any more kinks to be worked out since they are new. Sorry for the poor pictures, they really dimmed the lights right when we got the food 😅
