McDonald's — Restaurant in Cape Coral

This McDonald's is clean and the food well prepared. I consider myself a McDonald's expert, as I have had 1 or more meals every week at McDonald's all over the country for a long, long time - I don't remember exactly when that started, but I would estimate 50 years ago. There are good McDonald's and not so good McDonald's. I visit this particular one frequently because I now live nearby.

The frequent problem here is the ketchup dispenser. It is often empty and not promptly refilled. Sometimes it seems not refilled for days, but I guess it could have been refilled and was empty again by my next visit.

I have found the staff at this particular McDonald''s to be exceptionally friendly, unlike the staff at the other 3 McDonald''s in the Cape.

Food prep is good 99% of the time. If you ask for something special, like extra well done fries, they will do it for you, no problem. However once, just once, I got an egg McMuffin at the drive thru around midnight and the egg was not fully cooked. Other than that, no problems with the food.

The drive thru staff is often very slow. I do not know why, but I think it is due to the specialty coffees that are made to order. But again, service has been friendly. One day a young server leaned out the window and complimented me on a new car I had just purchased. Made me smile for sure.

Inside they will often bring your food to your table if it is not ready immediately. Nice touch. One negative - some of the kids they hire look unprofessional and almost done disturbingly gross with their facial piercings and tattoos.

Plus one well meaning high school girl who waited on me multiple times was mathematically challenged and had a heck of a time giving me the correct change even though I am sure the cash register told her what it should be.

So my opinion is that this is one of the better run McDonald's overall. But if you read this, McDonald's, please fill the...

I live close by,up until this last month I would stop everyday on my way to work(drive thru ) and order a ice tea...simple right...the last month I've been given ice coffee or hot tea or even a soda ...today I pulled up one car in front me...they placed order I pulled forward waited and waited and waited....by now there are 2 cars behind me and two in the second lane, finally someone comes in and says he be with me in a minute. I wait..thinking they must be having a problem inside ...I hear the car in the second lane giving their order..ok...I'm next right ...that car pills around and the next car places their order..at this point I not happy...I start talking to the box, no answer, no answer finally the man comes on . I order a unsweet ice tea chicken sandwich and a bag of ice. I pull foward the man hands me the ice half full bag..I ask why is it only half full? He shrugs his shoulders and closes the window...I wait, thinking he will bring another bag....after a few minute I give up and pull to next window....a young lady opens window and hands me a cup, says here's you sweet tea...I explain that I ordered a unsweet tea, she say well it says you ordered a sweet tea !!! She takes it back, closes window.. Opens window and pushes the cup to me..,not one word does she say...and then closes the window. By now my bag of ice is melted, I have no chicken sandwich and a glass of ice coffee !!!! I give up I will never be back ! I pull away...I'm done...

Hats off to these guys. As I grew hungry nearing the end of my work day I decided to stop for some mcdonalds. I proceeded with caution as McDonald's are famous for messing up orders but not this location, these guys are spectaclular. As I rounded the corner of the drive through pulling up to the window I'll admit I was beginning to feel nervous as I had just placed a very complex order an knowing I took the risk that could lead to disappointment. I paid for my meal an began pulling up to the next window where I'd receive my meal, my palms began to sweat, stomache was growing. There I was greeted by the window attendent with my sweet tea , dying of thirst I took a sip and instantly relieved that they atleast got my drink correct. She handed me my order an sent me off on my way with a thanks and have a great day. Little did she know that I was about to pull ahead and check the contents of the brown paper bag and that it would determine just what kind of day we'd both be having. I put the car in park, open the bag and begin my inventory. 10 piece chicken nugget ✔️ French fries ✔️And there at that point I was mind blown 😵 There at the bottom of the bag lay the sauces!!! If i didn't know any better I'd think that this team of burger flippers were americas all star team sent from god. Thank you team, you guys really out did yourselves today....
