China Palace — Restaurant in Cape Coral

I usually love this place and it is the only one I ever go to. My order is always orange chicken with white rice, steamed dumplings, and Rangoons. I believe they have the best orange chicken on the market, and love that they incorporate real oranges into the food. Today I recently ordered on DoorDash the orange chicken. Now keep in mind, when you go in person, they say it takes between 15-20 minutes to complete your order on a typical night. After a couple minutes of me placing the order, the dasher was already there waiting. It only took a few minutes for me to receive a message that it was finished. I ordered the orange chicken, white rice, and steamed dumplings. The sauce for the steamed dumplings was EXTREMELY salty, and I know it usually is soy sauce based, but this was like pouring salt on your tongue. The dumplings were perfectly made, but the orange chicken was absolutely vile. I have never had orange chicken that tasted of burnt cornstarch in water with a hint of orange peel. It was gummy and lacked any and all flavor. I knew right when I opened it something was wrong, but I gave it a try anyways and it was inedible. DoorDash is an incredible company that took my complaint seriously over the quality of the food and issued a full refund. I’m really disappointed in whoever was cooking tonight. Whoever is cooking is going to lead you to incredibly horrible reviews and lead people to stop going there. I still will eat with you guys because I know the kind of quality you typically serve, but I will stop if this is consistently...

Very nice Chinese restaurant, I had Pork Chow Mein and it was excellent. Great service 10 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Recently made another visit and I had the Egg Foo Young and Hot & Sour Soup and it also comes with fried rice. Everything was delicious and very tasty. December 28th 2018 Another FANTASTIC Lunch at the Palace😀 On this day I ordered the Pork Chop Mein again Lunch Menue with Hot & Sour Soup and Egg Roll, it comes with a very very Generous portion along with another very very Generous portion of one of my favorites Pork Fried Rice, it's Fantastic. One very small thing that is very Large to me is that they provide a Hot Water Pot and Chinese Tea Bags for your making if you like. I really Enjoy Hot Tea with my Chinese Food and I think that's great, many places do not provide that option any longer. Well I suppose you already know what Rating I'm going to give them on my lunch...You Guessed It...

I have been buying food from this place, I loved their food. Today, it has been raining all day so we figured to get food from them. We called and ordered a pick up order, my husband picked up the food, came home, we were happy. After taking 2 big full bites of their house fried rice I asked my husband to smell it, because it tasted really rotten, he smelled it and said it was in fact rotten. At this point, I can't trust their food, we did not want any of it, I drove back and brought back their nasty smelly food and asked for a refund and they said no, bring all food back! Can you believe the nerve they had to ask me to make a 3rd trip to bring the food back just so I could get a credit? they wanted me to do another trip? I asked for a refund and they said no.
