The physical location is awesome with a great patio right near the sun dial and I had high hopes for the food. The Keftedes were pretty good, very moist and flavorful. The Tatziki was very good as well, but this is where the good stops.
The service was pretty slow, despite a relatively low volume of patrons. We ordered a couple of beverages and the Keftedes then waited for a while before the server came back around for our order. I ordered the Lamb Souvlaki wrap with fries (option of fries or salad) and my friend ordered the Chicken Souvlaki wrap with fries.
It didn't take too long for them to bring the food out, but they brought the Chicken Souvlaki platter with a salad, extra side of fries and the Lamb Souvlaki wrap. When we said that the platter was incorrect and we ordered fries as our side, they took everything back and said they would figure it out.
Ultimately, they brought out both the chicken and lamb Souvlaki wraps, but with side salads and a single side of fries. The server/manager did credit our bill for the chicken Souvlaki platter and the side of fries, but it was very clunky service.
Furthermore, the lamb Souvlaki wrap had WAY TOO BIG of lamb chunks. There were only about 2 or 3 chunks per half of the wrap and they were almost 2"x2" big! I think that for the wrap specifically, they should cube up the meat a little better.
I'll probably come back to try other items, but with a low expectations...

Athens on Easy Street is a Greek restaurant in Carefree in the sundial plaza. They offer an extensive Mediterranean menu that pleased the meat lovers in our group as well as the vegetarian. The night we dined, there was a lovely violinist playing on the patio.
To start, flaming cheese is always fun to add some tableside flair. As another appetizer, we had a Mezze board that comes with Pita, and you choose three or six dips. Torokafteri was my favorite. It's a spicy whipped feta dip with chili flakes and EVOO.
I've gotta have spanakopita, so I ordered that as my meal, along with some curried chicken skewers. Delicious. My husband loves lamb, so he really enjoyed his Lamb Kleftiko. It was slow roasted lamb with potatoes and peppers.
The favorite cocktail seemed to be the Me Mou Piece (tequila, watermelon, Tonkatsu, lime, honey). I also really enjoyed the Desert Fig as an after dinner drink (Cafe Bourbon, fig, and bitters).
The only con: when our friend pointed out big chunks of something falling to the bottom of his freshly opened beer that had been poured into a glass, the waitress argued back a bit instead just replacing it. When she did finally replace it the next...
Read moreMy wife and I were very pleased with this place! It was perfect to enjoy our anniversary. Firstly the service was supreme! Gladis was super helpful explaining and answering all our questions, she made a couple of suggestions that we went with. She made sure that the food was properly done and stayed near by in case we needed anything. She was friendly and spoke about the restaurant and her family, just a extremely nice person. Now on to the food, I don't have the words to describe how absolutely delicious it was, we order a bottle of wine and really took our time enjoying the food. The atmosphere, like most Greek restaurants it's decorated to make you feel like you are In Greece from the pictures to the music even down to all the small decor. This is a must try and we will definitely be going back more öfter. Thank you Gladis for making our Anniversary a...
