Sonoran Arts League Studio — Attraction in Cave Creek

I recently joined Timothy Rees’ Harmony Hollow Plein Air workshop organized by The Sonoran Arts League (Jules Gallatig). We were all up at the crack of dawn to witness the sun rising over the fabulous desert landscape. It was cold! Coffee and cake helped! Timothy was patient with us all, some of us were 1st timers. He took us through his process of building his landscape painting before we attempted our own work. We all came away with a completed painting. The League is a fantastic resource providing so many opportunities for everyone to unleash their inner artist, whatever their level...

Excellent, well organized workshop with April Bower.

My only complaint is not even the fault of the center. The stagecoach place where the Center was located is not very well organized. There are maps, but there's no spot on the map that says, " You are here", and the buildings on the map are numbered, but I could not find numbers on the actual buildings. I had to call the workshop host and get her to help me...

Just did a one day Workshop, Water Color and Ink with Casey Cheuvront. Casey has a very enjoyable teaching style backed by a huge amount of experience as a successful artist and makes learning fun. I really love the ideas she shared with the class on the use of watercolor and ink that translates so well to sketchbooking and travel sketching. I hope to do more classes with her...
