Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Carencro

The service I received was very upsetting. The staff was unwelcoming and rude. Being that it was my husband and I first time, we inquired about some items on the menu. The young lady was very rude to us and her words were short like she really didn't want to serve us. When our order was up, my brisket was cold as if it had been in the refrigerator and my husband ribs were warm. I immediately addressed the issue and the young lady at the register said it just came off the pit, which I knew was a lie. I asked her to warm my sandwich. She did and came back with a cold sandwich again. I was so out done. It was like she disregarded what I said and brought back the same sandwich. At this point I'm furious but I simply told her my expectations and asked her to warm the sandwich again. She came back with a warm sandwich this time. The mash potatoes was sour.I gave this place a 2 because the brisket and ribs and the macaroni was good but it was very very poor service and none of the food was hot. The second customer that came in and ordered the brisket sandwich as well and her sandwich was cold and asked the young lady to warm her sandwich again. The customer mentioned to me that the Lafayette location is the one she usually go to but she was in this area. She advised me to go to the Lafayette location. She said, "they even sliced the meat in front of you. " I will try that location next time but I won't ever go here when I have a taste...

I tried calling to avoid making this post.Your phone not excepting call. About 12:00 pm my co-workers and I hungry hot working out in the element ,serving the public. Your restaurant appeared being I have ate at Dickets in Daytona, Florida and Alabama it was a very pleased so I suggested we order from your restaurant online.Coworker went to pick up was alerted you were out of items we ordered from 2 meat plate and we would have to cancel the order which did not make sense just add on customer's items to replace items you we r e out of..I guess the wait made tge food dry and tasteless.On top of this the dry cold meat did not come with the requested sauces and I paid extra for sauces. To top it off we working outdoors at a mobile site you sent no plastic wear we had to use lids from con trainers to eat the dry cold tasteless food.Beacause we work shift it made it hard to drive back across town to pick up basic items we paid for that should have been in the bag. The food was good, once we finally got to eat it. Made the mistake of trusting things were in order by count of containers. When we got the food home, we are missing the okra and 2 meats from the three meat plate. The associate on the phone asked me to bring all the food back instead of giving me credit for next time since I live 17 minutes away by road. When I got there, they were out of oakra and the ribs my daughter ordered. Had to decide to keep the baked beans. We replaced the ribs with pulled pork. Again the food was good, but I think on a Sunday they should have more people working and be sure to be prepared for a dinner rush and not be out of everything I originally wanted. I got chicken plate because they were out of brisket. Asked about the Mac and cheese sausage they were out of that too. I will probably try again on a week night, just because the food was good. But just a note as a fellow customer service person, expect busy times and be prepared. Review before handing out, that the orders match...
