Louisiana Donuts and Pastries — Restaurant in Carencro

Not all Meche's are created equal. I routinely frequent the Carencro Meche's due to the location. I have mentioned several times that some of the products are drastically different and inferior. The cake donuts are basically a ball of dough. They explained that this was a temporary issue because of a mechanical failure (that was over a year ago). The donut holes keep getting smaller and smaller. I brought this to their attention a couple of times and I honestly think that they thought I was joking. Today was the last straw. I ordered 6 dozen holes with sprinkles for my child's school birthday party. I was completely surprised to see that they all fit in one box with plenty of room to spare. Once we drove away my son bit into one and it was crunchy. Most of them were of the same quality. I had extra time so I stopped in the Meche's on Guilbeau, I ordered 3 dozen the same way and the box was stuffed. I took a picture of them side by side in order to provide reference. I would think that if my name was on the building, I would ensure some sort of quality control. In short if you're satisfied with the one in Carencro, great. Just understand that they are not an accurate representation of the true Meche's product. The Guilbeau rd. location has always been consistent and always have friendly helpful staff and a clean lobby area. I will no longer settle for inferior products simply based...

I'd rate zero stars if I could. Ive gone to this meches multiple times and i am always disappointed. They close around noon and even at 7:30 in the morning, they are still out of everything, kolaches and donuts. And they do not make any more. They make one batch and then wait to sell out and then they just stand around getting paid to tell customers that they don't have anything left until they close. They should be required to continue serving until closing time even if it means having to throw extra food away. I will...

Stopped in yesterday in a huge hurry to provide donuts to a dog club event. I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness and appearance of the shop and with the employees who quickly got me what I needed, a variety of hot, fresh donuts to please a small crowd of folks. The donuts were indeed DELICIOUS, still warm when I got to the club and everyone liked them! Thanks for the fast, courteous service of a fantastic product from a nice little small town store...
