I visited my local McDonald's tonight in Carencro, La and Iām very disappointed and dissatisfied! Iāve been a customer of this location for YEARS and on tonight I experienced the worst service ever. First I waited behind one car at the second window for 10 minutes as they went back and forth with exchanges from the vehicle to the window and back! If that customer needed more time why not pull them up to this NEW third window so the car could get their food and go?! Nope, I wanted as they exchange food, cash , a new drink or whatever the case was! I finally get to the window after all this, Iām handed my food and drive off! Only to find that my order is wrong! I immediately call and speak to the manager, who is the same person who handed the order to me, as she screamed at her employees to stop yelling and to go. I told her my order was wrong and that Iām heading back to replace my order! Get their I request a refund for my inconvenience and the young manager did not know how to handle my request. She stated she normally allows the other managers to handle situations such as mine. I told her, youāre the manager on duty so you have to handle this. She refunds my payment and explained to her employees how the order need to be made. Assuming they did not take her serious and made a smart comment to her she then tells them this is not funny and to do it. I drive up to the next window to wait for my order and Iām told their is a 7 minute wait on the chicken and at this point Iām over it! After going through all this I wasted 20 minutes for nothing at McDonaldās! We did not get our meal because who wants to wait an additional 7 minutes. My order was placed correctly and it was correct on the receipt. Had the employees taken their job a little more serious none of this would have happen. The workers had zero respect for their manager and clearly they do not pay attention to whatās on the screen for orders!

As for the rest⦠I understand that ppl make mistakes. Sometimes the order is wrong or someone is having a bad day. But what happened today, though a minor issue, proves that this location is under bad management. I placed my order for a meal, with a large mango pineapple smoothie. The woman at the window handed me my drink first, which had about 2 inches or more gap between the smoothie & the top of the cup⦠it looked as though someone took a couple of huge gulps out of my drink! I donāt think that was the case. I just think the employee filling the drinks wasnāt paying attention. I told the lady at the window it wasnāt full & handed it back to her. She turned to the person filling the drinks & said, āUh, she want it full.ā Like it was an unusual request to receive a large drink after I had paid for a large drink⦠as though itās unthinkable to expect my large drink to be full, or even mostly full. It wasnāt just a little lower from the brim than usual⦠thatās reasonable. What is not reasonable is that she saw that the drink clearly had some missing & handed it to me anyway, and then proceeded to act as though asking for a full drink wasnāt expected!! Yes, itās a minor inconvenience, but it points to a larger problem⦠we have an epidemic of managers who show no interest in actually managing or training employees how to be good employees. There is a severe lack of social etiquette & desire to do a job well. We donāt expect better from managers or employees, so the bar keeps getting lowered, until we are left with bad service that has become the norm. We are urged to lower our expectations, instead of expecting quality...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI work here and so far every coworker has been nothing short of amazing. They've taken the time and still do to help train new people while doing their job the best they can. I'm guilty of overreacting at fast food places but there's a reason things can go wrong. At least three times a day every employee there is going the fastest they can to handle a two lane drive through so packed it reaches into the road along with a line in the lobby. Our crew leaders and managers juggle paperwork while filling orders and working on the floor with their crew members. I've been yelled at, verbally degraded and shot with a water gun by customers and I'm still nothing but polite with every customer that comes through. I understand being upset when you pay for a service that isn't 100% to your liking but I guarantee every worker in that place is giving 100% every minute of their shift. We don't sit down for 6 to 8 hours at a time. We don't have the option of small talk with each other. We're so busy I still don't know a lot of my coworkers names because I don't have the time to ask. We all work together to give the best service we can. The next time you aren't happy, or the line feels too long, keep in mind that the ones providing your food are just as busy as you are and this is how we pay our bills and feed our families. I genuinely hope whoever eats here has a good experience. If not...I mean making your own coffee or eggs in the morning is always an option. It's a good workplace full of good people. Be nice to them. They work insanely hard...
