Pizza Amore — Restaurant in Carencro

It came recommended and I was excited because I used to love the previous business here,and I do enjoy pizza artista, but I am(because I’m awaiting the ticket as I write this review) not satisfied. We had bottomless mimosas, my guest arrived first and had one already, but by the time I came in and read the menu to decide what drink I even wanted(bottomless also) it took over twenty minutes before I received my first drink which was actually her second. I ordered an appetizer, after I put in my order for bottomless mimosas, and received my appetizer AND pizza before I even received my actual second mimosa. Also, please note I only received my first one because I took my guest’s second glass after only one was brought to the table & she didn’t receive another til after her entree came out. Swaying away from my overly delayed bar complaints let’s focus on the quality of the food. MINIMUM quality! The pizza was okay but I feel it was not up to the quality I’m used to or expected. And the pasta definitely gave microwaveable. The mimosas were taken from the tickets because we literally had 3 drinks at the table from abt 11:50(when my guest got hers til right before 1pm). The atmosphere was good, no complaints about that but we have agreed this will not be on a list of places to return or recommend to others. & I’ll let the FB groups that I am in know that as well. Overall, I was very upset because why advertise bottomless mimosas or brunch in general when the demand cannot be met? It’s pointless and honestly upset me that I drove thirty five minutes to get here to leave unsatisfied, hungry, and with regret for even visiting this establishment. We decided we wanted to stop somewhere for some good "ooey-gooey," and I'm glad we stopped here. We don't usually eat around Carencro, but we did this time.

PROS: Right off the bat, when we first walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and warm welcomes. The hostess was really nice, then not long after we were seated we were greeted by another friendly staff member who was our waitress. She was patient and didn't try to rush us since this was our first time here. We decided to get the fried ravioli appetizer, which was delicious. We then ordered our own created pizza, which was delicious and is what exactly what we were looking for! The atmosphere was upbeat, clean, and professional. Wasn't too crazy about the music playing, and some of the tvs didn't work, but that's easily overlooked. Pricing was reasonable for what we got, so no complaints there at all.

CONS: Really can't think of any negative cons at all, which is rare because I'm a stickler when it comes to reviews, haha.

Their food is really good. The atmosphere is ideal for a casual date night or a family night out. The customer service is hit and miss. I went there on 12/20/2024, and the hostess greeted me with a smile. I had a to-go order, so she told me to let the worker know at the bar. When I approached the bar, two workers (one sitting near me and the other was standing behind the bar) saw that I was standing there, but did not acknowledge me; however, they had no problem talking amongst themselves to discuss their plans to go out and what they ordered online. The worker behind the bar eventually acknowledged me after I made eye contact with her to get her attention, but you can tell she didn't want to be bothered with me. Some of the workers were not attentive to the customers at all.
