Some of the best home made ice cream. Staff is usually friendly however due to the covid 19, they seem on edge and not as friendly. I watch them refuse service to an older lady who had a health condition and was unable to wear a mask. She even offered to provide a doctors not, but that was not good enough for them. They than helped the next person in line, the same person making their order took the cash without gloves. I understand the extra steps to prevent spread but if you're handling paper money, and making food, refusing service to a woman that cant medically wear a mask is just wrong. They than have people line up at a door to give them their ice cream. The same door that people must go in and out of to enter the building. Wish the workers were a bit smarter, kinder and the prevention system was a little more thought out. Ice cream is 5 stars, the rest...
Read moreI’ve been a few times and haven’t been impressed. Most recently I picked up a few pre-packed pints from their freezer, and when I got home I noticed the ice cream is really no different from a cheap grocery store brand. The ingredients list corn syrup, a few preservatives and carrageenan (a thickening/gelling agent), which really aren’t necessary in “homemade” small-batch ice cream. To me, a shop making its own ice cream should have a flavor and texture that stands out, and this place just really misses. There is a price difference between the pre-packed pints vs. pints hand-packed on site, so I’m not sure if all the ice cream contains these unnecessary additions (maybe it’s reflected in the price?). That said, if you want to sit outside and enjoy a cone, then I’d suggest trying one of their flavors. If you’re looking to take some home, you might as well...
Read moreFirst thing when we arrived, the kids working were rude to us, so that wasn't a great start. The ice cream was nothing to write home about, but we were originally looking for the frozen custard place and just stopped here. I won't likely return because the service was bad, the ice cream was boring and the prices were sky high. I know it's just a little ice cream stand and I shouldn't have high expectations, but if you're going to specialize in one thing, you should do it well and if you don't do it well, at least make up for it with great service and if you can't do that either, at least have it be inexpensive. Maybe Leo's used to be good or maybe it was a bad day for them, but I can't say if recommend stopping here unless any of the above appeals to you. I won't return here next time I'm...
