I have been going here since I was in high school and I'm almost 30 now so it's been alot of years. It used to be one of my favorite places but after my experience today, I will never be back. Be warned that they charge almost 2 dollars for water and never said that it was bottled water when we ordered. We ordered 3 kids waters which came out in small Styrofoam cups for kids which is fine except for us being charged almost 2 dollars for each of them. When we went to pay, they charged us for 3 bottles of water for the kids but obviously the kids didn't receive that. We asked for the additional water that should be left in the bottle and they said they just split 1 bottle of water but then refused to take the 2 other bottles off the ticket. I also asked for a chicken breast, shrimp, and chorizo. It came out on a dessert plate and a tiny portion and they charged me over $15 for that. Part of that was 3 shrimp that they charged $6 for! These are estimates because they refused to show me an actual itemized bill and only let me see their order slip for a split second before taking it back from me. They never came back to check on us or get us refills for our sodas. When asking about the prices they were nothing but rude about it. All around terrible experience and it's such a shame how downhill...
Read moreHuge disappointment. Inside of restaurant smelled of mildew or bad HVAC system. Food was not edible. First the taco salad was a soup. An actual liquid mixture. Perhaps it was the “cheese” but it was watery and wrong. Ordered guacamole and sour cream on the side, and there was no guacamole. There was a side of shredded cheese, which made me suspect the watery white creamy looking liquid was the sour cream. Couldn’t be sure. The meat was bland and the whole thing barely filled half of the shell. About the same amount of thinly shredded iceberg lettuce as the tacos. I tried the cheese enchiladas next. No flavor. None. Beans and rice were bland and unremarkable. Seemed like canned or boxed. Gave up and tried one of the beef tacos. I think the meat was boiled or steamed, and they were cooking for a nursing home. Bland, wet, and no spice or seasoning. Did they forget that part? Oh, the dog won’t eat it either. She eats everything. Maybe it was an off day, maybe not. I just want a refund and a strong cup of coffee to get the taste of out my mouth. For context, I lived in San Diego for over 20 years, and know real Mexican, Tex-mex, and Taco Bell. This did not resemble any sort of Mexican type food in flavor, and only vaguely...
Read moreWent 4/11 for dinner. Chips and salsa were good. We both ordered meals with chicken breasts. My husband told our server that his chicken smelled bad and tasted bad. She assured him that they cut fresh chicken every day. She never offered something else. He handed her his plate and she took it. He asked that they take his dinner off the ticket. My chicken also smelled bad. I asked the server to smell it but she refused. I took mine home hoping if it was bad oil that I could wash off. When we went to pay they didn't want to remove my husband's meal from the ticket even though he did not eat it. He told them it was spoiled and they said that was his opinion. Truthfully we only should have paid for our drinks. I did eat a few pieces at home after washing the meat. It still tasted bad. The next day I was sick with diarrhea. I should have spit it out like my husband. The rest of mine went in the trash even though we paid...
