Aberdeen Social House — Restaurant in Carmel

Brand new restaurant, maybe opened 3.5 weeks ago at the time that I’m posting this review. The wife and I came on 12/23/24 for my bday dinner/drinks! The short rib and her salmon were off the hook!!!! Very good meals and the two of us agreed after trying each others. Her wine and my margarita hit the spot also, as we hoped lol. We then got their banana cream pie for dessert, and this option was really delish, too!! It was the most unique banana cream pie that I’ve ever tried (in a good way). Flavor on everything was excellent. Excellent enough that you can tell the chef has put in that work and knows the secret sauces :)- Definitely coming back and trying their whole menu one-by-one… Lastly, the decor + design in the restaurant is awesome. The ambiance matches the food taste!! Good vibes all around. And, speaking of ambiance, Wayne and Jessica’s service made our night on top of everything. From the moment we walked into Aberdeen Social House, we were impressed by the inviting ambiance—warm lighting, stylish decor, and an atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between upscale and approachable.

The menu was creative without being overwhelming, and everything we ordered was thoughtfully executed. The wagu pierogis were beautifully plated, rich in flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The cocktails were just as memorable; each one had a unique twist and was balanced to perfection.

What truly elevated the experience was the service. Our server, Arthur, was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely enthusiastic. You can tell this place is run by people who care about what they’re creatin…for both locals and visitors alike.

Whoever Desiree is needs to do better with her communication. I'm a little annoyed with this place. I called for several days to make a reservation for a large group and each day i was told the manager would call me back. As it would get later in the day, I would call again only to be told the manager wasn't working that day. On the 4th day, I called and was told that the day I needed had been booked which is extremely frustrating because I was basically given the run around and never received a call from them. Today I get a call from the manager who was suppose to call me 4 days ago to tell me it was booked and she had the nerve to say because she didn't hear back which is crazy because she clearly had my number which means she knew I was waiting on a call from her after leaving several messages.
