Popped in Thursday after work to pick up a pie. The gentleman behind the counter warmly acknowledged that I had walked in, told me professionally that it would just a moment as he was finishing a task, then grabbed my pie and sticks, handed it to me with a smile and thanked me for my business. Like -- like he was the owner or something. But he was probably 18 so it seems unlikely. (Stranger things have occurred, though, I s'pose.) He treated the business as it were his. Maaaaannnn... If I were in the restaurant/retail world this is exactly who I would want on my team. And it's probably who I would have leading the team. One thing I thought driving outta there was that this young guy could take that approach -- the approach of just being kind and professional -- and parlay that into being a multi-unit manager of something, anything, by probably age 25, because so few people in the retail/restaurant world are approaching their work with an attitude to do their best. (And, maybe, just maybe, it's because people are paid a wage that doesn't allow them to support themselves.) But, not this guy. This dude rocked and it's so rare to be treated this way in that environment that it's notable. (A sad commentary on our world.)

I paid extra to build a custom pizza, tipped when I got in the store, and then my pizza was wrong. Not even close.
Was supposed to be banana peppers, green peppers, jalapeño, onion, and parm/romano cheese. I got half pepp, half sausage, green peppers, and mushrooms.
So I spent $40 on my total order, paid an extra $2 for the custom pizza vs. the custom they gave me, tipped when I picked it up, and now I’m left unsatisfied.
