Lugos of Caro — Restaurant in Caro

I love this place. My son LOVES coming here, WAY better quality than Taco Bell for less $$. I am genuinely impressed with the price. Service is great, very friendly and there is a “family” atmosphere to this place. This place gives me chipotle vibes with the “build your own” burrito or bowl. I LOVE the burrito bowls, and the cilantro rice is to die for, and their bowls are heavenly topped off with their homemade Mexican ranch. This last time I went I decided to try the horchata, and I got a HUGE cup of it, like bigger than a McDonald’s large.. I didn’t think I’d be able to finish it, but it was so good I drank every last drop. They are not stingy on their portions let me tell you!!! And paying under $17 for two people to eat out in today’s economy is awesome! Thank you lugos for coming to Caro! We are seriously blessed with your business in our community! Food was great as alway. However, don’t ask the lady taking your order for “southwest sauce “ instead of chipotle mayo because you will get the BIGGEST eye roll and nasty look ever… instead of politely telling me it’s chipotle mayo she proceeded to ask if “I’ve ever been to Chipotle restaurant”… which threw me off because why does it matter if I have. I only wanted a spicy-chipotle sauce but instead was stereotyped for pronouncing/calling it the wrong item. Like I was a white girl who only goes to the Chipotle restaurant. She then proceeded to go in the back and tell the cooks I asked for “southwest” sauce. I heard but it made me laugh because it was an honest mistake. Been to Lugos in BadAxe..loved it!..but I was ecstatic when I realized there is now a Lugos closer to home This place is beyond wonderful, and the price is on point.. AUTHENTIC Mexican food, for basically the same price as Taco Bell, and WAY more filling! Service is Excellent, fast, and delicious! Had street tacos, and a quesadilla this time and they were amazing... signature salsas and queso are great, and let's not forget my new favorite "Pineapple Water".. I'm hooked!
