I used to order from papa rays for years I started ordering from there around 2014 and stopped around last year. So I have placed two orders recently and they have new owners. The first order I placed, I placed the order online and thought I had left a tip. When the driver came she rudely said “so you’re not going to tip me?!” Being in the service industry I always tip. Besides that I asked for both of my pizzas to be square cut and it was not, and we got sick off of their pizza and when I called they told me that they have better Ingredients than the last owners so it’s not possible but gave me a credit anyways. Last night I called in my order to use my credit I ordered 2 pizzas 1 being a MEATATARIAN and the other a papas choice, wings and a large fry. They confirmed the order with me and it was correct. When the order came instead of a meatatarian, they gave me a Mediterranean pizza and the large fry was barley half full. I expected more since those 4 items were about $80 even after my credit. I called the store at night there was no answer so I called the following day and a rude woman answered the phone yelling at me, telling me that they always call back so I didn’t call and that she talked to the manager about me and everytime I order I complain. Read moreUpdate April 13 2017 We decided to try Papa Rays one more time since the owner of the franchise reached out to me personally, after I voiced my concerned. Jamie was able to convince me to give their Carol Stream location another try. We got a couple of lunch specials and they were excellent. Delivery was on time and the food was hot and fresh. The ingredients are high quality as mentioned in other customer's reviews. The best of all, is the customer service provided by the owner and his staff. We appreciate an owner who values his customers and is willing to make the necessary changes for excellent customer service. My company will defiantly will be ordering again from Papa Rays. Keep up the great service!
April 12 2017 A driver stopped by my company and dropped off menus promoting their establishment. My company is always looking for new places that deliver . I ordered online a chopped salad and set the time for noon. First, salad was not chopped and there was no bacon, as described on the online menu. Second, another order had BBQ sauce containers that exploded all over the orders. Third, they were extremely late on delivering our food and we are on the same street as they are. Read moreI originally left an awesome review for this place a few months ago commending them in an awesome job all the time.. since then EVERY order I have gotten has had some sort of issue. Missing items, wrong items, cold items.. this WAS my go to pizza place. I guess I’ll be finding somewhere else to order from. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but after a few times of things being incorrect something must be said. If you like to order specific items and you also like to receive all the incorrect items then this place is for you!!! This most recent order was made on a Monday night after my 11 hour day working outside. They aren’t busy.. it’s not the weekend.. and they didn’t complete my order in its entirety. Missing items and having to order from elsewhere is unacceptable business practice. This place is beginning to go down hill apparently. I hope this review helps the general public reconsider they’re desire to order from here. I usually order thru a food delivery app so I’m sure the blame will be pointed towards them.
