I visited this establishment yesterday, for the first time, and ordered a White Chocolate Mocha with almond milk no whip, hot, and an Impossible sandwich.
I must first say that I appreciate the drink NOT tasting like the cup (I.e. the film that coats the inside of it.) It was a “mild” trace of it, but didn’t “overpower” the taste of the drink, which was appreciated.
Most Starbucks, nowadays, their hot drinks taste like the “film” that coats the inside of the cups; it’s an unpleasant taste. This was never an issue for me over the years, until about 1 year ago, maybe a little more…
I, literally, used to visit Starbucks EVERY day, 2 - 3 times / day, but don’t anymore because of the “film tasting” cups, for hot drinks, and the limited drink options for my sensitive stomach; I can only have the white chocolate mocha with almond milk, no whip, and the mocha cookie crumble with almond milk, no whip.
Syrups bother my stomach, so I can’t have their other drinks…
Anyway, the Impossible sandwich, from here, like most Starbucks locations I’ve visited, was still cold in some spots, mainly the center. Per usual, I had to throw away most of the sandwich (25 - 50% of the sandwich, as I don’t reheat it.)
I don’t like going back to complain about food. So, I toss the food and don’t return.
There are 2 Starbucks locations that “perfect” heating the Impossible sandwich, and they are the ones on Jefferson Avenue, in Joliet, IL, and the one on 75th Street, in Naperville, IL.
Every time I order the Impossible sandwich from those 2 locations, they’re hot thoroughly, and I never have to throw away any parts of my sandwich.
I wish I could order a sandwich AND hot coffee from ANY Starbucks, as I prefer getting my “entire” breakfast from one restaurant, instead of going to Starbucks for the coffee, and going elsewhere for the sandwich, etc.
Maybe if Starbucks could see how those 2 locations are heating their Impossible sandwiches, and implement it across all their stores, it’ll make a better experience for “non meat,” and / or “non pork” eaters, like myself.
My only other suggestion is the amount of foam was about 1 - 1.5 inches, which is a little excessive. (Some Starbucks locations don’t make that much foam, and the drink is still piping hot. This is appreciated, as the foam is tossed.)
Other than that, I loved the taste of the drink at this location, the presentation of the cup (which was clean with no stains), and the service was...
Read morePoor customer service received today! I preordered my drink and when I arrived to pick my drink up I noticed that the venti cup $6.10 is filled with FOAM. I don't pay $6.01 for FOAM. I walked over to the cashier station and explain and the person standing at the cash station my complaint/request and the person does not even look me in the eye. Does not apologize for the error. They instead type into the computer at the cash station and then says nothing. I walked away in disgust and presumed that my drink was going to be remade right away since I preordered and it was a mistake on Starbucks. Nope, I watched the barista make 3 drinks (all of them obviously not mine) and walked back to the register and inquired is my drink is being remade and the replied was "you'll have to wait, there's a wait". Sorry this is 100% unacceptable, I should not have to wait. My drink should have been remade immediately. I believe a manager overhead the conversation and stepped in and said I'll take over. The manager personally remade my drink with NO FOAM. Wow, not the best customer service received! Train the people behind the counter to be respectful otherwise they should not be behind the counter in front of your customers! Look people in the eye...
Read moreWe pulled into the drive-thru, hoping to get a quick breakfast before work and camp classes. Ready to place our order, we waited for a response from inside the Starbucks. A few minutes passed without communication, so I said hello to check if anyone was on the other end. When I didn't hear anything, I decided to pull forward.
When I arrived at the window, the cashier, along with another woman whom I presumed to be the manager, rudely told me that I had to drive around and get back in line. I explained that I wasn't sure if the speaker was working since I hadn’t heard anyone, but she responded with a nasty attitude, saying, "You need to give us more time, and now you need to drive around and get back in line."
I explained that we didn't have time to get back in the long line and asked if I could simply place my order at the window. She refused, so we ended up going to another Starbucks for service.
I am surprised and disappointed by the lack of professionalism with which 596 E. North Ave., Carol Stream Starbucks treats...
