Fantastic restaurant! The food was delicious, service was quick, friendly, and efficient, and the ambiance was lovely.
My mother and I both got the combo special, which is a lot of food at a fantastic price. We chose the soup option, Tom Kha, and YUM!! It was rich and flavorful.
For our entrees, Mom got her favorite, Pad Thai, which was flavorful and came with a generous helping of roasted peanuts - so many places skimp on that.
I got... I can't remember what they called it 😅 but it was flat noodles with Thai basil, bamboo shoots, onion, and bell pepper. I chose to have it with beef. It was PERFECT. A little bit of spice, just right.
The portions of entrees were generous, easily 2-3 meals for small eaters like us. It also came with one of three appetizers each, which was delightful.
I definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning again and trying more dishes - absolutely everything...
Read moreThis is a reliable favorite Thai restaurant in Carpinteria. My family has been eating here for years. The service is very good as is the food. The specials have a lot of food (soup or salad, entree, spring roll — made and fried fresh — and won tons) and for under $20. In this pandemic afflicted world, where it’s hard to find good staff, it’s wonderful to see there are still a few caring, efficient and Very Good restaurants. The Siam Elephant Thai restaurant is...
Read moreGood service, good Thai food. But my socks are still on, and my wallet feels a hurt. Ordered their lunch special, "red curry, with seafood (see photo). Choice of soup or salad. I choosed the soup, a delicious mushroom, chicken coconut milk soup. Then the seafood red curry arrived. A plate divided in 3 parts, a scoop of steam white rice, a fried vegetable roll, and fried shrimp wrapped in a wong tong (not much flavor). Along with an small cup of red curry coconut milk soup with seafood, consisting of 1 medium shrimp, 1 scallop, 1 New Zealand green muscle, 1 tuff piece of squid, 1 piece of fish, and 1 piece of imitation crab (that should not have been in there) and lots of bamboo shoots. It was good, but for $17.50 ??? Sat out in their patio, that is need of some TLC, and a replacement of healthy...
