Growing Up in Southern California in the LA area and general, I've eaten at probably 500 different Mexican restaurants - small ones fast food really fancy ones, and I'm just driving through Carpinteria because I had to get out of the smoke from the fire that's down there in Malibu and this place had to be the absolute worst Mexican food I've ever eaten in my life! It was swamped with this dark brown mole sauce that would not only was hotter than hell but it was sour and the chicken was dried out like a piece of wood, and after I uncovered my little enchilada it was about maybe 3 inches long. I told the guy that if you are in La you would be paying half the price for this for a plate of food that would be at least twice this big. Carne asada taco was good sized, but it had NO seasoning, absolutely NONE. They forgot to put salt on the meat.
What they lacked in flavor on the taco they more than made up for in all the oil they put in the breakfast burrito.
The tortilla it was wrapped in seemed to glisten when I removed it from the foil (a sign it was greasy), but that was nothing but excess cooking oil. I have eaten some greasy/oily burritos before, but at least the drippings had flavor, not so in this case.
By the time I was halfway done my hands were full of oil, and at the two thirds mark they were literally dripping even after I put the burrito down. It was tasteless almost clear oil.
It seemed as if they added cooking oil to the burrito before they wrapped it up.

I have eaten here many times but NEVER again! The woman at the counter was so completely rude. After I ordered my burrito to go I saw the cash only sign and I’m not sure if that sign is new or if it was always cash only but I had nothing other than credit card so needed to cancel order. She was beyond rude about entire thing, which was an honest mistake and when I asked to use the restroom she told me it was closed. One of the coons was trying to help me by telling me where I could go and the lady shook her head no at him and he went quite. I hope her rude behavior comes back to her as I won’t...
