After trying out many of the local Latin food establishments in town, including one recommended a couple of times, Reyes Market is hands down the most authentic Latino food in Carpinteria. They lived up to the hype, and the food was beyond delicious. This is family owned and operated. The staff is always very kind, and professional in keeping the tables clean and making sure you have everything you need and your order is right the first time. No I'm not related lol, I'm actually new to the area. They serve breakfast all day and the lunch/dinner entrees honestly taste just like homemade food. Reyes Market is also a small neighborhood store for the Latino community where you find food, drinks, and snacks from Latin America. I moved here from Colorado. The only place I ate at this good was actually in New Mexico. Sorry Colorado.

The marketplace is a fun place to windowshop while waiting for your food. You need to be able to read Spanish to read the menu, but they do have an English version on their website. Friendly people, and the food is cheaper than a fast food joint. The double burger is delicious, messy, and too big to finish. The fries are frozen but perfectly cooked. Tacos are huge, tasty, and made with fresh ingredients. My fiance thinks that their chicken tacos are better than most of the "gourmet" places in the area.

Authentic and delicious. Good price. Has lots of market groceries in the restaurant. Birria is a Mexican dish from the state of Jalisco. It is a traditional ancestral soup or stew made from a combination of chili pepper-based goat meat adobo, garlic, cumin, bay leaves, and thyme, and cooked at a low heat. Birria is slow-stewed in a pot.

I’m in restaurant sales and went in there with the intention of grabbing a quick lunch and hoping to pitch to the owners. I came nowhere near getting a sale from them but I was blessed enough to try a burrito. That was a major win. Beans, cheese and chile verde con nopales.

This burrito will tattoo itself on your soul. You will think about it at random times. This is an award winning, death bed memory burrito. The sad part though is that it’s 2.5 hrs away from home. I’ll likely end up thinking about it and craving it so much one day that I might just making the drive just for this burrito.

Life comes with many choices and forks in the road. Make the right choice. Get a...

I absolutely love this little market/restaurant. I discovered it years ago through my old boss, who recommended it for having the best chilaquiles around. Over time, I've become hooked on their chilaquiles burrito, and it never disappoints! That said, I haven't tried much else on their menu, so I can't speak to the other options.

When you order their chilaquiles, they offer a choice between regular or spicy. Just a heads up—the regular is already pretty spicy! I tried the spicy version once, and wow, it was extremely hot. I managed to finish it, but just barely. The flavor was fantastic, but if you can't handle intense heat, I would...
