:( been coming here since I moved out to Chapel Hill 10 years ago. The food, while always delicious, doesn't quite cover the terrible customer service.
More times than not, something is missing. Most of the time it is trivial things like an extra marinara sauce or something but more recently I ordered something for my son and something for myself (garlic knots)--when I got our food, mine was missing. Well, not missing. There was ONE garlic knot. When I called to right this error, I was told that the person that ordered didn't make it clear that I wanted a SET of garlic knots so they only gave me one. The reality of the situation was that I ordered at 9pm and they close at 10pm, they only had one knot left so that is all they gave to me and, by the time I realized it and tried to call the same night, they stopped answering the phone 25 minutes early.
Upon calling the next day, I was informed that the guy answering didn't think he was wrong in assuming I wanted just 1 garlic knot, when they CHARGED MY DEBIT CARD for a full set. They refused to refund me and refused to give me the other 5 garlic knots they owed me. This is typical behavior.
Several times I have come to the store after opening hours for them to stare at me as I wait at the locked door. They don't move or say "hey, not open yet" or anything. Just the worst customer service and leaving this review really kills me as I have ALWAYS loved this business.
Sadly, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Try Aiden's Pizza on Jones Ferry Road or, even better, Alfredo's at University Place--the best...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called in my order yesterday at 5:09pm and the guy asked for my name. I gave him my name and even spelled it out for him. He told me it will be ready in 25 minutes. So, me and my honey went to pick it up. We figured since we live in another city (20 minutes away) by the time we get there it will be ready. We arrive to the restaurant about 5:42-5:43pm. We learn that they have given our food to another customer. We were like, "What!!!!!!" :( The says, "Yeah, some guy just came in and we gave it to him." I told him that no one should have came in to pick up our order, but me. Then one of the guys said, "Yeah a woman did call that order in." I informed him we came from another city. My honey mentioned to them about giving us a discount since now we have to wait. The guy promised to make our food as quickly as possible and he apologized. And gave us two free drinks. Now we could have gone somewhere else, but we were hungry, had a taste for their food and it was raining. So we waited, it was almost 6:30p when the guy brought our food to us. He informed us that they made a extra large pizza for us instead of a large, which is what we ordered. We agreed and said "Thank you." We checked the other food to make sure it was what we wanted. It was and we left! We didn't leave a tip because of the situation. Because we were like what if we had event that we were going to...we would have been late because we had to wait or go somewhere else. We were disappointed, but the guys there tried to make it right by giving us free drinks and a extra...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came to this place for lunch hoping to receive a good pizza. I frequent this place a bunch of times I asked for a pizza slice with sausage and extra sausage and a little pepperoni pizza roll and the Person got it wrong at the counter. That was okay, but he corrected it when he brought it out to my table. The sausage was spoiled or had been sitting somewhere for a long time. He asked me did AI want another slice. I said yes, give me pepperoni. He took my plate. With half a pepperoni pizza roll and the sauce was in the plate. He brought back one slice of pepperoni with not extra pepperoni like I had extra sausage on my previous slice. He did not bring back my sauce and he blatantly said I need to come up to the counter and get it. This to me was unfair, seemingly that they brought me. The pizza spoiled to catch an attitude behind it is their own means of telling me they didn't want my kind and their restaurant. I am a black man 60 years old. To my veil, you think something like this couldn't happen to you. You read about it, see it in the media. See it helping elsewhere until it comes to your doorstep. It's really hurtful that people think like this anymore. But it was just a reality check. I will never...
