This is a go to for my family when it comes to take out Chinese. The General Tso's chicken (called messy chicken by my crew) is always very tasty and we rarely have any left over. The chicken wings are great as is the egg drop soup. Most every dish is a solid rendition of what would be expected from a hole in the wall place. It is consistently good.
The dining area is very plain and limited in size. One table is frequently occupied by the kitchen staff kids. There is usually plenty of parking right in front.
Speaking of the kids (10 year old ish), they often answer the phone to take orders and while they are OK at taking orders, I always wonder whether or not they truly understand what I'm saying. (Not to slam here, but they have a very heavy accent and can be difficult to understand.) I've experienced minor mistakes that were made by the kids.

Read moreThis is our go-to take out Chinese in Chapel Hill/Carrboro. No, of course is isn't 5* cuisine. It's 5* value from quick, reliable and friendly service. Not spicy at all so ask for spicy (this is the south). Portions are generous, you can swap out rice and get lo mein at no charge, Tso's, Sesame and Curry Chicken are tasty and always fresh. Beef and broccoli are also well received. Quart of hot and sour soup is excellent and a great deal. Food arrives quickly. Other families have been impressed when we bring it over. Just keep in mind I am comparing this to Chinese in the area (although the compared to the sad state of Chinese food in the whole country [including a recent visit to chinatown in SF], this compares favorably outside of Chapel...

Whenever I'm in Cboro, I always try and get by to say, "Hello!" and pick up shrimp eggrolls, vegetarian dishes with mung bean sprouts (ask if they can be added if you like them), or most any dish... Delicious! -Camellia
On my first visit many years ago: Love the shrimp egg rolls! I gobbled the vegetable angel hair, but it needed a little more seasoning. Warm,...
