Update: This place is inconsistent at best. My initial visit there was fabulous. Excellent coffee, very attentive staff, and a wide selection of fresh pastries. I kept coming back craving that same initial experience and giving the benefit of the doubt that they were having an off day but after 5-6 times of it being hit or miss, I will say it’s been mostly a miss. Super disappointing as there are no other non-SB coffee places close by. In my visits there have been times when there were no fresh pastries at all. They have some packaged Madelines that are not good at all and have offered those up. Today when I got there at 8 it was closely and the hours on the door had been re-written in to say they open at 9. What kind of coffee place doesn’t open until 9? I had high hopes for this place, but I’m not sure I’ll be back now as you just never know what you will get… or not get.
Best vanilla latte in town!! There’s a lot happening here, but what a cool space. This space has several names (a tad confusing), and I was sold on the big sign bragging about the croissants—which totally lived up to hype. I enjoyed a Hanryu latte and almond croissant during my weekday morning visit, both of which were fresh and fabulous. The croissant was crispy on the outside with a perfectly soft and warm almondy center. The latte was so, so good. The interior has a ton going on as the space appears to transition from laid back coffee shop by day to happening restaurant. Jazz music plays, and the staff are warm and friendly. The menu is a small selection of Korean American fusion, and the pastries all looked fresh and epic. A robot roams around delivering orders. Everything was fantastic, and I loved the vibe. Come...
Read moreVisited Brian's Coffee Roasters 2 days after they opened! So happy to have a place like this in the area. Felt like I was getting to hang out in a cafe in Seoul.
Loved: -Spacious- There are many restaurant sized tables, a large bar with outlets, and free wifi. Great for dining, hanging out with friends, or co-working -The croissants were delicious. The cheese one would have been better if there was an option to have it heated. -There are lots of Western and Korean food options on their menu, looking forward to trying more of them next time. -Great modern & traditional korean decor, and jazz music really set the vibe
Suggestions for the future: -They didn't have decaf coffee options yet. Would be much appreciated by caffine sensitive folks like me :) -The bathroom was quite dirty, but it’s understandable since it looks like they’re still setting up -Would appreciate if you use less plastic and more reusable tableware. For example, cold drinks in glasses + metal straw instead of plastic cup + straw, metal knives and forks for croissants instead of plastic packs -There are so many names associated with this place, I feel like it's not great for branding. I appreciate the goal to make a multi-functional space but I still feel it's too much. There are signs for Brian's Coffee Roasters, Hanryu Brunch, Pochakaya, Moodaepo, and kfoods Group Academy (5 different names) all on the same building
Overall, I really loved this place and will definitely be coming...
Read moreI got the chance to order a little bit of everything on the menu. The barista on Friday was friendly and helpful with allergies. There was plenty of seats in the whole venue. Music was a tad too loud. If it was for dinner hours, that would be great, but for a brunch vibe, its too loud to talk. Music was on a loop of the same cover songs.
The Gorgonzola cheese pasta was pretty good! Perhaps slightly salty then a regular pasta dish but bites of it with the prosciutto worked great to get the salty craving. No seafood or nuts inside.
One Kimbap was $6 and it came with a pretty spicy mayo sauce that was fantastic. The actual kimbap was presented pretty but lacked in the softness department.
Brownie Croissant was very interesting the brownie was perfectly gooey, the croissant was needing more butter or to be softer.
Hanryu coffee was a 7/10. its decent with its condense milk but felt closer to a viet style coffee bean to me. Slightly too sweet.
I am mostly disappointed in the strawberry crepe. VERY one dimensional. the strawberry flavor in the sauce was lacking. Just eating creme and crepe in the end.
I may come back for one of the more seafood type pastas or maybe a...
