Came here twice while visiting Carrollton and did not regret it. Absolutely great food and service both times! The first time we came here, we were starving and tired after a long day of traveling so we ordered from their main menu. They had a unique curry I've never seen at any Indian restaurant before called Makhana (lotus seed) Curry, which was definitely worth it with its great flavor (sweet and spicy with a hint of cream/milk). We also ordered some Chettinad Chicken Curry which was also fabulously prepared (made with a strong blend of many spices, but just spicy enough for us). Both curries came with a complementary freshly cooked naan or rice (we chose naan with both). The naan was of excellent quality as well, due to it being freshly made just for us. It's safe to say we left happily with our bellies filled. The second time we came back we came a little too late for their breakfast buffet, but the restaurant workers were happy to keep it open just for us. The food was running a little low In quantity (as we did arrive late), but the workers were happy to prepare more for us. We tried almost everything they had and we can confidently say it was all great. They had us choose between their five unique Dosas (Ghee Nellore, Podi, masala, onion, and plain. We tried the Ghee Nellore, Podi, and Masala Dosas which were delicious to say the least. We also got freshly prepared Vadas and Poori Bhaji. Idli was just enough for us with what they had left over. The Mysore bonda, Tomato Bhat, and Pongal were tasty as well. But our favorite was the Halva. We topped it off with a...

This seems like an Indian restaurant catered more so to people that’s just starting out eating Indian food. Seems very ā€œgentrifiedā€ and stepped down to fit American taste buds. I tried the chicken tikka masala (apparently a favorite there) and the Haleem. I had to add salt to the chicken tikka masala because I could tell it would be a lot better with just a boost of flavor. Without salt though, the chicken tikka masala was bland and not exactly authentic to me.

The haleem actually was pretty good if I’m being honest. I would say I’m pretty much expert level when it comes to Indian/desi food because I’ve been eating it since I was a young girl.

I had a feeling this place would be a hit or miss when the naan didn’t automatically come with the food lol those places usually are the ones that just aren’t quite the best. Every Indian restaurant where I have to buy a side of naan always has the same outcome in results. Would I eat there again? No I would not. It was nothing special about it and they should definitely focus on more bold flavoring. Maybe I should try more dishes but I’ll pass for now.

Also not only that but usually I digest Indian food well but this food made me pretty much be on the toilet all morning which I never experience with Indian food because like I said, I’m used to eating it and used to the spices. Not sure what was going on with this food.

If you’re trying Indian food for the first time and want to control how much salt is in the food, go for this restaurant. Wasn’t special but...

May2023 Wow, they are back to the worst food served again as an year ago… Ordered onion pakora and gobi Manchurian… it deserves 0 stars… I didn’t even feel like it was Manchurian and secondly it didn’t feel like gobi… pakora were so hard.. Had ordered chettinad goat curry a week ago and that was also not good as it was couple months ago.. looks like chef got changed… never going back here again…

Feb2023 I have been recently visiting here almost every week and the quality and taste of food has improved a lot.. I would say one of the best gobi chilli I every had in US till date..

Service is great and they are friendly. Food is good as well… Changing rating from 2 to 4…

May2022 I wanted to rate 1, but the front desk treated well so rating 2… food I would rate 1, that too for mango lassi.

Ordered Dumka fire chicken kebab - gosh, it was hard, tasteless. Mint chutney was good. Kodivepudu - what was it, oil fired chicken was mixed to fried onion. No flavor, nothing Vijaywada chicken biryani - this was a blunder. Vijaywada biryani masala was mixed with rice and fired chicken was mixed. No flavor in chicken. I would have rather bought chicken nuggets or chicken strips and cooked rice at home.. Seriously this is how it’s made or you don’t want people...

To go order. Paneer biryani is tasty. The gobi 65 & chicken 65 are very spicy. Loved it all tho. Flavors are all there. Prices are very affordable. I am torn between this Indian restaurant & the one nearby called Spicy Village. They both do biryani really well. They both have different flavors that come through. This place tasted more North Indian style. Highly recommend. Last visit was annoying. They were renovating the restaurant. Ordered takeout online & got to restaurant after 35minutes to pick up the food and was told to wait another 10 minutes which turned into another 20 minutes. The woman offered a free beverage due to the long wait, she then offered the 25% off the total order (which I was not given, I was still charged the full amount). The food was made to perfection again but the service lacked. It also smelled awful in there due to the construction inside restaurant. I don't fault the woman working here, she was kind.

Nestled in cozy Carrollton, Nice Indian Eatery offers a variety of authentic menus. Though i came with less hope on the vegetarian menu, I tried panner roll and panner pulav.. it was delightful with the symphony of flavors. You could enjoy this panner shawarma (panner roll) as a quick bite on the go, or savored leisurely at table, this panner shawarma is a testament to how something so seemingly simple can be so delicious over here.! They can match the spicy depending on needy. The service was great, staff were kind and warmth. Also, when you are fueling up for a busy day, stop by for breakfast buffet, which includes idli, dosa, pungulu, mysore bonda etc with sweet treats, alongside perfectly to sip out a hot masala chai. !

Indian music videos and the Buddha water fountain set the ambiance at this restaurant. The service is very friendly and the food is good but a little different than we are used to which I attribute to just being a different regional style. We tried Gobi Manchurian, Chicken 65, Garlic Naan and Chicken Tikka Masala and all were good. The 65 was dark meat and a little tough. They only have green chutney sauce and no tamarind but the waiter assured my wife it was OK to use the green instead….hmm. Overall decent and probably really good if this place is your style. p.s. bring silverware as the plastic ware warps drastically if exposed to any heat. Also a serving spoon couldn’t hurt.
