we left because we couldn't' ear each other, plus was hot inside AC doesn't work , The Band was Loud too loud, mediocre singing and musician not what I expected for $10 cover charge per person plus 2 drinks we spend in trash $40 for 30 minutes , we left could take it anymore , i have better wine at my home stereo and music , ...... The ambient was wrong set up , Table lot of tables everywhere ,most of the chairs around are broken I can find better chair at a thrift store LOL I the band stage sinking on the floor could not see the dance floor .... Not really a place for a couple or a date , we never comeback again .Solutions: Buy new chairs, Hire a better band, fix the AC, fix the fans , serve better wine, and tell the Young lady at front to greet the guests when they leave ., she was on phone testing not even to say hello Thank...

As a musician in DFW I have been to ALOT of different places to work and play.

The Maverick is one of our home bars to get down and groove with and we always have a blast when we visit!

I met up with a friend for an early dinner the other day and was pleasantly surprised and super happy to see one of my favorite people behind the bar.

Jessica, TY for being so sweet to my son and making him feel so welcome! He asked me if we can go back soon and see "Ms. Jessica" again. He NEVER does this... (u know how cool kids r right?!)

Kudos to the cooks also! Our food was out quick, hot, and it was delicious! Perfect portions also!

Thanks for the hospitality Shelly and Barry! It's always nice to walk in see friendly faces, have an awesome meal, and know ur appreciated as a customer even when ur not...

Negatives:

  1. we waiting about 8 minutes before we were helped and it was super HOT.
  2. Table had no menus, silverware
  3. Ordered a drink from the flip chart on table and waitress asked me if I want it mixed with anything....it was a mixed drink.
  4. The mixed drinks we ordered were...ok
  5. Ordered a black and tan & Redds Apple Ale...waitress came saying they didn't know how to make a black and tan and oh could you remind me what your wife wanted again.
  6. Comes back and says sorry we don't have that either...
  7. Waitress was very nice but very new and not trained well.

Positives:

  1. Awesome place to watch sports, tv's everywhere!!

Great Spot for a Night Out! I visited The Maverick last Tuesday night for Tacos. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxed evening. The playlist was spot-on, featuring a mix of classic and contemporary tunes that set the right mood without being too loud. The service was excellent; Brooke, one of the bartenders is knowledgeable, and quick service. I didn’t have to wait long for drinks, even though the bar was quite busy. The tacos were perfect companions to the drinks. The bar was clean, and the restrooms were well-maintained, which is always a plus. Overall, The Maverick exceeded expectations, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a great place to unwind. I’ll be coming back for sure! Rating: 5/5

The good: decent parking, easy to find location on the main road. Theme nights. Happy hour specials. The not so good: Wanted this to become a regular chill out spot for our group, but alas. Really unpleasant just walking up to the front door: dirty parking lot littered with food, water bottles, Styrofoam containers, cigarette ends, trash. Entering the dark and cool space, had some hope, but the attitude of the individual tending bar made it a yucky experience. Not that I could blame the person. No, I could not. This place is suffering from lack of good help, lack of consistency, and sadly, lack of cleanliness. Will be looking elsewhere for a local chill spot until they get things figured out.

I’d probably come back here for another wrestling event, but I don’t know that this place is worth going to besides that. The servers were working hard and were overall friendly, but it felt like there were too few of them to accommodate the large crowd, and a few seemed to be distressed and overwhelmed as a result. The food was okay, you’re not coming here for that, but if you expect typical sports bar fare, you won’t be disappointed. Drink prices were about average for the area. About $5-$7ish for a draft. Not bad, but not unique by any standards.
