The fact that this fruteria offers tunas (prickly pear) fruit I knew it was the real deal. They have a chicharron (fresh pork rinds) station with fresh tortillas. They also have a spot where they sell granola mixes with yogurt and fruits as well as your standard fruits and drink selections you expect at a fruteria. Yes even the rusa. Also appreciate that they have milk and water based jello and flans. The last station there sells full plates like tacos and enchiladas, they even sell consome de borrego (lamb consommé) for those mornings after a long night out. Given the steal of a deal with their prices and servings, this is a spot I’ll be visiting quite a bit. Bonus for having catering sized portions for home parties or work events.

You would think that the quality of the food would carry-on with the name brand of the restaurant... Well that is not the case here, the sabrocita tortillería in pleasant Grove has far better service and quality food. I went in hoping to eat well just as I have many times in pg but to my surprise the tortillas were not even cooked all the way not to mention the price increase because it is the weekend. Notice how they just threw the tacos into the basket, Sabrocita you have really disappointed me today.

This was a second choice, but I'm glad the first choice fell through. Right away, I walked in and knew this place was an overlooked treasure. La Sabrocita offers an assortment of latin drinks as well as foods. My fajita de res plater was pricey but was well worth it from the rich flavor and tenderness of the meat. The service was absolutely delightful and made me feel at home. I absolutely will be making the drive from South Dallas to La Sabrocita to bring friends and family.

I regularly order from this place because I like their tacos. Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience today. I went online and saw their prices for lunch specials @ $6.99. I placed my order and when I picked up my order they had charged me $10.00 per plate. I had to pay $35.00 for 3 plates. (They charge your credit card over the phone.) When I questioned the price, the cashier said that the internet prices were wrong and that I must have called another store because their prices were correct for their restaurant. So I corrected her and explained that I dialed right from their stores information. Then she said " ma'am dial that number." . Of course it rang into her store . She then said, "oh well, the price is wrong online." I said , ok, but why do I have to pay more because your store hasn't change the prices online? She then passed the problem to a "supervisor". She later said it has been wrong for 8-9 months. She called the "supervisor" Ricardo and he too said that the internet prices were wrong and that they could not do anything about the price difference. The other person Maria, was rude and she too said the same thing. Next thing you know there are 4 people talking it over and all agree that I, the consumer am wrong and that they can't refund me the difference. Ricardo offers me an extra taco for the inconvenience. I said , "no I don't want or need another taco." I want an adjustment or something in exchange for the price difference. The so called "manager" goes back to speak to his supervisor about the situation and comes back minutes later with the same answer. He says to me "ma'am I already offered you another taco in compensation or I can refund you all your money back. I said , no, I have some people waiting for their food. And now my food is probably cold. He said that's all I can do. I said "I will take an avocado instead of that taco". I was very unhappy with all their lack of interest in keeping a regular customer instead of honoring the website prices. Their way of handling the situation was totally unprofessional. To have 4 people there in front of the client discussing how it's the consumers problem . The "manager" told me it was my fault because I had failed to ask the cashier the prices before I placed my order over the phone. And to top it off, they didn't give me my "free drinks included in my lunch specials". What a terrible experience. It's not the extra $6.00 - $9.00 they over charged me but rather their bad customer service. By the time I got home, 1 mile away, my tacos were cold and my Flautas ($11.00) plate were cold and soggy. So buyer BEWARE. Make sure you confirm the price so they...

Let's start with the positives.. AMAZING food, I got the 3 taco plate with fajita beef and it was seasoned perfectly & there was quite a bit of food. I had to take some home. I don't usually like beans and usually order double rice but since the ordering process was so difficult (one of the reasons for a 3 star review) it slipped my mind. The beans were very good though, nice flavor and texture. Paired with the rice it was amazing. We also got a cup of the shrimp ceviche and it was probably the best I've ever had! There were 3 of us eating and we all enjoyed our food.

The jumbled ordering process and lack of communication with staff made the visit a little uncomfortable. There are several places to order, each for different items. When we finally figured out where we needed to be, we were rushed along by other patrons.. which I found to be extremely rude. We were overcharged a bit for our plates and when we asked about specials, we're told there were none. Our wait was a little longer than I would have liked, but the were busy..

I will be coming back and would even recommend this place to others. Great food, poor service.. that's why they're getting a 3...

DON'T SHOP HERE!!! FOOD AS HAIR!!!

First and foremost I would just like to take this opportunity to provide an unbiased review of this place that I visited on 3/15/21.

My food plate had a hair in it.

There is no organization in there and nobody speaks English to assist you with your order.

I grabbed three containers of salsa out of the refrigerator and stood in the lobby looking for a register to check out. A couple of minutes later this odd-looking woman comes out of nowhere asking if I have a receipt for the salsa. I explained I didn't know where to pay for it and she grabs them out of my hands insinuating I was attempting to steal them. I FOUND THIS EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL AND INSULTING.

I also overheard some of the cooks talking about crossing illegally and that their illegal immigration paperwork was in the mail. I'm not saying anyone in there is an illegal alien but definitely raises concerns on who is serving food in...
