Alfano's Pizza Restaurant — Restaurant in Carthage

5 in our party, and it was not crowded (maybe 1/4-1/3 full) when we arrived. We checked in at the back, but they said to seat ourselves. It was a long time before we for menus, a long time before they took our order, and we had an excessively long wait by the time we got our food more than 1 hour since we had arrived. Service was cheerful, but between waits, we felt forgotten. We ordered a hand-tossed pepperoni pizza and a thin-crust pizza with 3 toppings. Parents ordered salads and 1 other menu item each. Salads came or fairly fast, but my parents' main course was delayed, and I have no idea what took the pizza so long... waiting for dough to rise?

Oh, fyi the thin crust came sliced into squares, so if you want usual pizza wedges, ask before they bring it to you.

Long wait aside, food was delicious. Ordered an excess so we could have left over pizza at our hotel the next day. Just as good left over!

Might go there again, just would try to pre-order pizza and do take out. Come to think of it, there were a lot of take out pizzas leaving in boxes as we sat waiting. So maybe take out gets priority over...

We felt like Italian, so we found this little gem nestled in Carthage's town square, so we thought we'd try it out. Historic brick bldg, comfortable vibes, everyone was so friendly and smiley. We ordered an XL Canadian Bacon, Bacon Pizza, Garlic Cheesy Bread, and a side salad. We wanted to take some home as well, which we had plenty of leftovers for later. We were there around 1pm, lunch rush maybe. Plenty of seating. Outdoor seating available too.

The food was delivered in a timely manner. Hot, fresh, delicious! The husband loved the Sweet Tea too. Even when groups started piling in, we were never left alone to long by our server/waitress. The restrooms were clean and fully stocked! Cute photo op corners. It was my first time at a Alfano's within our area. Not sure if all of them are privately owned or not. The food here is fantastic. I was not impressed with the waitress. Could not get her attention to get drink refills or anything else we needed. Our food was served before we could even get 3 bites of salad down as she was behind on getting the salads out. As soon as the food was delivered, she hardly even checked on us. We were a party of 6 which at the time was the biggest group there. I tried for 15 minutes to get a refill on my tea and she was too busy talking to people at another table for, what seemed to me, an extended period of time. Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious and I would definitely recommend this place for fine...
