A mixed experience. The decor is acceptable, contemporary generic American restaurant interior. Yet a certain sense of chaos permeated the restaurant. The staff seem green, distracted, untested.
The kitchen was slow, our order took at least an hour. I had a dish of chicken over bacon mashed potatoes; fine, but empty, nothing special. The gravy was weak, flavourless. The fries over-cooked, nearly burnt. The grits boring, not enough cheese to justify their high price and small portion.
My companion's burger had a smashed bun and was lacking basic condiments, the meat dry and burnt around the edges. Fries here, too, were...not ideal.
The real treat, and the reason one feels compelled to give a two-star rating, instead of a single star, was the dessert—the turtle-waffle-sundae; a masterpiece of texture and flavor, sweet, wonderful, and for only ~$3. I do recommend it. Wholeheartedly.
Overall one does suggest that the experience was, shall we say...lacking. Yet the restaurant is fairly new, so there is, perhaps, a chance for growth and development. Until then, we give it two out of five stars.

Read moreUpdating my review after months. New staff? Check. Updated menu? Check. Cute waitresses and courteous service? Big check. Went there this morning for the MVP breakfast again and while the grits were a little too buttery, everything else was cooked to order perfectly. Note: the bacon is best served crispy, as i called it "Sent to vietnam and cooked with napalm". Very short wait right in the door and took maybe 10 minutes to get my food even while at a busy time. This time, Raven was my server. Absolute cutie, that girl is. Lovely smile, charming little attitude on her and came to check up on me and see if I needed anything often and when asked would immediately go and see if she had any of it like when I ordered hot sauce and got it seconds after. Calm, courteous and collected so much that youd swear she was there for longer. The service, her smile and the food were well worth the $15.00 tip. Thank you again for reading and I hope you enjoy this Huddle House as much as I did, as I will be returning soon since they have left me...
Read moreWe came today in a party of 3. We ordered 2 tenders meais with fries, salad, n Mac n cheese. Then 1 waffle and a fruit cup. We waited patiently for our food for 45 minutes at least before we got my salad. We then noticed a table of 3, that had come at least 15 minutes AFTER we'd already placed our order, get their full order before us. I asked out server Aubree about it and asked if they had to cut the fruit up. She advised it was already cut up and our food wasn't ready yet per their runner, Asia. I asked why we were waiting for fruit to be put in a bowl and at least the food that was already done. I then heard Asia say "the food ain't ready like I said and when it is they'll get it". I then heard her say to make sure the tenders were down.. I was like umm excuse me.. bc ikyl. I said don't even worry about it and left bc they obviously didn't value my time, money, or business. The food n service is bad EVERY time I go and the mgr Kamal isn't there. Hoping he can hire some good management for when he's not there bc...
