Subway — Restaurant in Carthage

I have lived in Carthage for over 12 years,so I’ve been to the subway quite a bit, but not very often. I’ve also had quite a bit of racial discrimination encounters,throughout my life,but this one hit different. It hit different because one of the employees looked just like me. I am a very patient and understanding person,but I also pay very close attention to what’s going on around or in front of me. It was during lunch time ,so they were very busy. I still decided to wait patiently for my turn,but when it was my turn,I was skipped over for several minutes,while the customers behind me request was answered. I wanted to walk out,but I really wanted a sandwich. So I stood there for almost 20 minutes waiting on my sub. I am a fan of subway way,but not of discrimination. I used to go here once a week with work colleagues and the management was great, ingredients were fresh, and the building was clean. Things have really fell to the wayside. I almost walked out but decided to only top my sandwich with what looked halfway fresh. Staff had no clue about anything. Didn’t know what a wrap was and tried to make me a flatbread twice. Maybe they were new. The inexcusable thing is they he ingredients overall were not fresh and the cleanliness. I hate to be one to complain but I will sing your praises if you do a good job and take care of your keep a clean work area. Person cutting meat with no gloves and I left a great picture of the glass barrier over the ingredients. Wonder how long since they’ve cleaned it. Might check back in a few months to see if things have improved any but for now....

I ordered on the app and I arrived at the place twenty minutes after ordering. They asked, “Did you order?… Oh, do you still want your order?” It was an order of five sandwiches and a salad. They got all of them WRONG. $45 worth of sandwiches wrong. Then we went back and had them remake them. They remade them, but they were soggy and were just awful.
