I had the pleasure of dining at Flying Tiger, an Authentic Chinese buffet, and I must say it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere.

I had to go to dinner with my in-laws from time to time, that is, when I had in-laws. Not usually a bad experience, except that my wife's dad was a bit of a lush, and could be abracivly embarrassing. One evening we went to Chi-chi's Mexican restaurant. A staff member took us to our table, handout menus, and, with a monotone, memorized sentence, started that or waiter would be right out. My father-in-law stopped the young man and asked for a beer, to which the seater replied with his memorized sentence. So, not to be made to wait the 15 seconds for a waiter, my son-in-law makes his request again, but this time louder, and slower. My wife told her dad that the young guy doesn't speak English, he's not deaf.

The wait staff at the Flying Tiger are not rude, but it is possible that, because of their developing English skills, they seat the customers and quickly leave to avoid possible embarrassment. The staff is always polite, courteous, and attentive. The restaurant is clean. The food selection is limited as compared to the larger buffets in cities. This is my third pick among Chinese buffets in Moore County. We are fortunate to have a buffet style Chinese restaurant in Carthage.

Although the selection is not as vast as most, the food choices are varied enough to please most. One other feature that is often taken for granted, it's rare that you have to wait for a table, not just here, but any restaurant in town. That's part of the beauty of...

Even when this place was beside Food Lion, and it was called Peking Wok, it's always been my favorite Chinese food restaurant.!.

I always order 1 of 2 things: 1)( if the buffets hot and fresh) I order buffet to go. Which is where you get a Styrofoam take out plate and you put your hearts desired contents into box. When you check out they weigh it and you pay so much per ounce and/ or pound.

2. or I order general tsao comb. Plate with lo mein noodles, egg rolls ( the veggie ones), chicken teriyaki on a stick and the deep fried donuts coveted in sugar. Occasionally I will also get crab Rangoons.

After tasting The Flying Tigers Chinese food , no other Chinese food...
