Not usually a bad experience, except that my wife's dad was a bit of a lush, and could be abracivly embarrassing. One evening we went to Chi-chi's Mexican restaurant. A staff member took us to our table, handout menus, and, with a monotone, memorized sentence, started that or waiter would be right out. My father-in-law stopped the young man and asked for a beer, to which the seater replied with his memorized sentence. So, not to be made to wait the 15 seconds for a waiter, my son-in-law makes his request again, but this time louder, and slower. My wife told her dad that the young guy doesn't speak English, he's not deaf.
The wait staff at the Flying Tiger are not rude, but it is possible that, because of their developing English skills, they seat the customers and quickly leave to avoid possible embarrassment. The staff is always polite, courteous, and attentive. The restaurant is clean. The food selection is limited as compared to the larger buffets in cities. This is my third pick among Chinese buffets in Moore County. We are fortunate to have a buffet style Chinese restaurant in Carthage.
