Scene: A bustling coffeehouse in Cary, North Carolina. Enter the Noble Patron, weary from travel, seeking comfort and warmth.
Noble Patron: What light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Caribou Coffee is the sun! Here in Cary’s heart, I seek repose, And in this humble shop, my spirits rise.
(Enter Ms. Lane, with a welcoming smile.)
Ms. Lane: Good morrow, gentle sir, or lady fair, What drink dost thou desire? Speak, and it shall be prepared With care and love, as is our way, To brighten all who cross our threshold today.
Noble Patron: Fair Lane, thy kindness doth soothe my weary soul, I crave a brew that warms the heart and makes it whole. But lo! Who are these that grace this noble space, With hands that brew such wonders, full of grace?
(Enter Ms. Sejal, crafting a cup with deft precision.)
Ms. Sejal: I am Sejal, a humble brewer of delight, With beans and steam, I conjure morning’s light. This cup I brew is made with tender care, For thee, good patron, to savor and to share.
Noble Patron: O Sejal, with thy skillful hands so true, Thy potion is a marvel, rich as morning dew. And yet, who is this last, with eyes so bright, Whose presence fills the air with warmth and light?
(Enter Ms. Sylvan, ensuring every corner is in perfect harmony.)
Ms. Sylvan: I am Sylvan, keeper of this place, To see that all is well, each smile in place. With every sip, I strive to bring thee cheer, So all who enter know they’re welcome here.
Noble Patron: O Lane, O Sejal, and Sylvan bright, In thee, I’ve found my solace and my night. Thy service is a balm, thy coffee pure, In this fair house, my joy is ever sure.
Ms. Lane: We thank thee, kind patron, for thy words so fair, Return to us whene’er thou dost despair. For in our humble shop, thou shalt find, A haven for both body and mind.
(Exeunt Ms. Lane, Ms. Sejal, and Ms. Sylvan, with the Noble Patron basking in the warmth of...
Read moreI love Caribou Coffee so much - I have not had luck at this location. Based on recent reviews, it sounds like they have some employees that need an attitude check. As I have experienced some of the same rude, short, and snippy behavior in recent reviews. We just moved over to this area and have visited about 3-4 times. Each time the staff has been very short and unhelpful. Was very short when I asked for a Nitro in a larger size. Another time I politely asked if I could get a small cup of whip cream for my dog, which I offered to pay for. They cut me short and said "we don't do pup cups". Then today, I was going to get my Nitro and they were out. Since that's the major thing I get I trying to find another drink. I asked the employee if there was anything else they could recommend and they offered to do a cold press the same as the Nitro, but couldn't seem to offer my other suggestions of popular drinks or their own personal suggestions. I did end up going with the cold press made like the Nitro. When I got to the window tho, I asked about my maple waffle sandwich I had ordered. The barista has not added it to my order despite confirming it with me thru the intercom. They offered to charge me for it then, but my experience was already so soured that I just left. Oh, I should add, I was the only person in the drive thru lline and this was around noon on a Monday. I know these are small issues - I think I'm just used to more friendly attitudes at coffee shops. I would have understood if it had been busy, but it wasn't. Sure do wish I had my maple waffle sandwich about now... So overall, I like the coffee and other options at Caribou but this location really isn't doing any favors for th...
Read more*Edit I decided to update my post to include my recent, very unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, it seems due the constant employee turnover that is consistent at this location, customer service seems to be on a rapid decline. My encounter with Emily today has me rethinking my visits to my favorite coffee spot on a more permanent basis. The long short of it was that Emily incorrectly applied my coupon to the wrong drink, which produced an incorrect total. When I questioned her, she rudely told me she knew what she was doing. After pushing keys on the register for a minute, I asked her for my new total. Unexpectedly, she responded with throwing her hand up and telling who I believe to be a lead or a supervisor, "You handle it!", then she walks away. The woman helping me understood my question and quickly made the needed adjustments to my total. I hope there is a plan for retraining at this location soon because of the lack of appropriate customer care.
First, Caribou is my favorite coffee spot! This location in particular, is one I frequent regularly. I normally don't have an issue when interacting with the employees, for the most part it's a pleasant experience. Well, today is the second time I have placed my order with the older lady with braids at the front register and my experience, the same as last time, was less than desirable. She doesn't have a friendly disposition, a bit argumentative, seems to find it hard to listen to customer questions in completion and respond appropriately or correctly, and rudely/loudly responds to questions. I believe there should be retraining in the customer service department to foster a friendlier environment when engaging...
