After a long day at the hospital with a sick family member, my girlfriend and I decided to go to Taco Bell for a guilty pleasure pick-me-up. Unfortunately, this trip turned into a massive time sink and disappointment. Going off of my map/GPS data we spent 27 minutes at this Taco Bell even though we went through the drive through.

We arrived at the Taco Bell at 9:42PM on a Friday and we greeted by a faint, lackadaisical voice. Even though there were only two cars in front of us we did not arrive to the window for ten-fifteen minutes. Once there I saw that the gentleman placing our orders was just playing on his phone instead of checking orders, filling drinks or anything productive/proactive. He hands us our drinks (which were only 3/4 of the way full) and after another five-seven minutes we finally get our food. As we are pulling away we check the bag to make sure we got everything and, of course, we didn't.

I parked the car and headed inside to correct the order and spoke with another gentleman who was much more enthusiastic than the gentleman at the drive thru. Our order was missing three items (2 empanadas & 1 cinnamon twist), the gentleman apologizes informing me that they are all out of empanadas and offers to provide the Cinabon balls instead (which I agreed to as its a fair arrangement). I want to make it clear that this gentleman handled the situation exceptionally well for which I thanked him and left satisfied. However I am still really disappointed in the lack of accountability prior to that point. If the restaurant is out of empanadas, why was I not notified before I paid for them or if that was discovered after I placed the order why was the issue not resolved at the window. If I would not have checked the bag prior to leaving, I would have been SOL. Sure, its only $3 but it is still a huge oversight to not handle that situation proactively.

I spent another seven minutes inside while the gentleman helped resolve the issue departing Taco Bell at 10:09PM, totaling the 27 minutes.

Once we got home (five minute drive) the food was luke-warm if not cold. Many items on the order were either wrong or prepared poorly. For example, the pictured crunchwrap supreme only had lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream on it. The pictured hard shell taco had gotten soggy by the time we got home and was smashed from having heavier items placed on top. Additionally, several of the items had not been wrapped well and we had a bunch of lettuce/tomatoes/taco meat floating around in the bag.

Overall, an extremely disappointing experience and most likely will not be returning to...

If I could give a "zero" rating I would. So tonight (7/16/2022) around 645pm we pulled into their lot & placed an online order for pickup in the drive through line. As we were placing our order, a worker did deliver an order to a car waiting by the entrance area. We pulled to the drive through speaker after my order was confirmed. After about 4 minutes & no one answering the speaker, I pulled around to the window. Once again no one came if after beeping my horn. So I pulled around to the entrance door. As I did a gentleman came out the back with trash & I asked were they open that no one was answering the speaker. He said to get back in drive through now & they would answer. Once again waiting at Speaker, finally a female comes on to say they are closed due to only 2 employees. One of which could be seen laying down on a bench seat & playing on their phone by the front entrance. Seems to me they were riding the clock & doing very little work. Mind you an order was giving out earlier & I was told to get back in line. As I explained that to her she got very loud & aggressive on the phone saying that I could go online to put in an employment application ( Thanks but I'm employed) & then she starts yelling & told me to get the "fu___k" off her speaker & that I needed to cancel my order. I attempted to cancel through the TB app, but a systems error. We left & went about a mile down the street to Macdonald's. As I passed back by TB at 711pm...guess what they are all of a sudden serving customers again in the drive through, but just 15 minutes earlier they were closed due to shortage. I guess when I told her I would be contacting corporate they changed their minds about working. I am just waiting for 8am Monday morning when I will be filing a formal complaint about this TB location on Kildare Farm Road in Cary, NC & how rude, disrespectful the lady was on the speaker. I hope they throughly investigate this location because it definitely is NOT...

We arrived here 12/31/24 at 8PM, not an unreasonable hour, as the app as well as google showed their hours as open until 9PM. The line wasn't too long, there was only one car ahead of us at the speaker box. We waited lie 5 minutes to get to the speaker box and they forgot about us being there so we waited an additional 5 minutes waiting for them to remember us and take our order. Mind you there's no way to escape the drive thru line at this point especially if there are people behind you. So we place our order, no sour cream, and proceed to wait THIRTY MINUTES. We think "Maybe they are short staffed for New Years Eve", but Taco Bell has the most simple to put together menu, nothing should take that long. We finally get up to the drive thru still feeling a little bad but more annoyed at this point and we ended up tipping them $10 for our $20 order because in the moment we thought they were short staffed. Then we saw the employees and realized they were not short staffed.

SO after 40 minutes and $30 later, our food still came out wrong. We wasted so much time and money on a FAST FOOD Restaurant I submitted 2 complaints online asking for a response and never received one. I then contacted corporate and received a credit, not nearly enough for this hassle and was told upper management would contact me and they never did. So now I am on my last act of trying to make Management see this complaint and will be contacting corporate again because this lack of care is...

🌡️UPDATE! 🌡️ Seems someone has finally noticed to bad reviews at this location. I had a craving for Taco Bell last week and stopped by the drive thru. Went through the drive through smoothly. Food was fresh and tasty. Made a visit inside tonight food was fresh and delicious again. Employees were not grouped around disconnected from customers. Would give the extra star if someone was actually taking orders. Nice work! ********************************* Seven employees working, all standing around on their cell phones (one sitting in the office). Customers have to place orders themselves. What’s next, will you expect us to make our food as well? The standard in fast food service here is non existent.

Literally the worst experience I've had at a Taco Bell. They forgot two of our items, so we had to go in and stood at the cash register for 10 minutes without any interactions. It took another person in our party to come in and yell "excuse me" to get anyone's attention. When we finally got home, they literally gave us tortillas with a hardshell (maybe a teaspoon of cheese, nothing else) instead of 3 crunch wraps that we ordered. The amount of meat in our other tacos was barely visible. As some one who frequents Taco Bell, I will not be going back any time soon.
