Goodberry's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Cary

Have been coming to this location for years, almost no problems until tonight (3/31/22). Very unfriendly worker--young girl, brown hair with braids, no mask--was very obviously frustrated/angry and took it out on customers.

I work in food service myself, and I understand the frustration of a very busy night. However this employee's attitude and hostile behavior towards customers was very unwelcoming and even left a few of us at a loss for words. I had ordered a couple cups of ice cream to-go, and they were served without a lid or bag. No problem, I patiently waited by the window to quickly and politely ask for my order to-go. This employee comes to the window with another order, a cone, and starts SCREAMING the order out. After only a few seconds, she screams it again and again, raising her voice to the point where everybody waiting for their order was startled and frightened. She starts banging her fist on the counter while screaming, too. The customer comes to collect their cone and she turns to my order and screams it in my face, and I ask her for it to go. She rolls her eyes, throws her hands up, and stomps toward their supply area and THROWS two lids towards the pickup window. No bag, no extra spoons. Then storms off to the front of the store. Customers are put in an uncomfortable and/or bad mood. I left feeling upset.

I get it, you're a student and you're suddenly bombarded with a hoard of people who want their orders. I've been there. It's frustrating. However, it's completely inappropriate to be yelling at customers with attitude because you're having a rough night. I hope this employee has a conversation with management about how she handles her frustration and how not to take it out on customers...

This was my first time ever here and I am a frozen custard fanatic. I ordered a concrete for the first time, usually I order the vanilla custard with strawberries, hot fudge, peanuts in a sundae. So I wanted to try something new. I got my concrete the same way I usually get my sundae. Well when I got it I was slightly disappointed that it wasn'tmixed throughout the whole custard and the lack of ingredients. I asked if I could pay for more strawberries and fudge but instead the girl who was exceptionally nice offered to make me a whole other one. I told her it wasn't necessary but she insisted. Now we all know that place you have been too where they treat you like a number and if there's a problem with what you have ordered you get the sighing rolling of the eyes from the girl or guy behind the counter, you know bc how dare they have to put their phone down and help a customer right? Lol it's funny as I'm writing this but when you are actually that customer it begins to irritated you and make you feel like you are not important. However this afternoon at Goodberrys the young lady behind the counter made it her priority to make sure I was more than satisfied with my order. I recently visited Goodberry Frozen Custard and I have to say, I was blown away! The custard is simply amazing - rich, creamy, and deliciously smooth. You can tell that they use high-quality ingredients to create their signature frozen custard.

One of the things that sets Goodberry apart from other frozen custard places is the variety of toppings and mix-ins they offer. From fresh fruit to candy and nuts, there is something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the classic hot fudge topping, which was rich and decadent without being overly sweet.

The staff at Goodberry were also incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were happy to answer any questions I had and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The location itself was clean and well-maintained, with plenty of seating both inside and outside.

I also appreciate that Goodberry Frozen Custard is committed to using sustainable and locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible. It's great to know that I'm supporting a business that cares about the environment and the community.
