My daughter and I came hungry and ready to eat! I pass this restaurant all the time so I figured it was time to try it. We had a horrible experience and ate nothing. I will go step by step to outline our experience. The greeter at the front was amazing! I didn't get her name but she had blonde braids at the time. I hope you're paying her well and making an effort to retain her! My waitress was HORRIBLE. I don't know if she was having a bad day or always like that but she was cold, rude, and clearly not interested in serving us. Her service was so bad the table next to me was also visibly upset so we chatted a bit. They said it was also their first time there and they probably won't return. I asked for lemon for my water and never received it and ordered a soda for my daughter and never received it until I asked again. Also no utensils on the table and didnt get any until minutes after out main dishes were received. When my meatball appetizer came out, it looked like someone cut a piece off one so I sent it back and asked for it to be removed from the bill. Conversation with the lady who delivered it went in circles. That plate should have never left the kitchen! As a rule, I never send food back. I just always think something bad happens when you do that. My main dishes came and my daughter said her cesar salad tasted sweet/off so that was it for me. My food did not look good and I already had an attitude because my server yelled at me for not telling her I sent the meatballs back. The Director Chloe came to speak to me and she was awesome. I hope she gets paid well and the owners are doing what they need to retain her. She made a perfect effort to correct the situation, but the damage was already done. I had a positive chat with her and shared it was just not a good experience or a good fit for us. She asked if I wanted to pack the food and I said no and we left it. I am not a complain to the manager type person, usually I'll just leave the food, pay, still tip, and never return. Tribeca Tavern missed the mark for me and lost out on what was going to be a nice tab and a nice tip. Chloe did ask if we would try again, but I get in my mood and once I'm done, I'm done. My daughter's and I had completed our food, and my husband had to later. So we did not get the experience of enjoying our meal together as a family, Next to add salt to the fire our waitress just stop serving us, she was taking others guess plates away never asked us if we needed anything. Our table was so crowded that I had to move our plates to another table😔. We never got refills from her, and then when the check arrived, it literally took her 4 times to get our checks correct . My family still tipped her. *(4th) Experience,(Lunch)😕⭐️ yes we went back because we wanted to give them another chance, Service was sub-par, the manager and hostess are very uninviting staff definitely need some training starting with the management. Upon arrival, i was letting the hostess and managerwhich wa also at the hostess station tha i was meeting my someone, I waited as they both just glared at me without a response so i just search w/o their assistance, next I kindly asked a member for direction to the restroom, and she was very cold and short. My husband's wings were so hard and dry that he had a hard time eating them. So they took the wings off the bill. My husband asked for his military discount, and the waitress told him that she could only do one discount bc they took the wings off the check.🤣🤣 so we mess up your food so you don't get your stupid military discount. Who cares about your sacrifice for our country. It's so sad that we even stayed throughout my run-ins with the rude staff encounters. What's really sad is on our second visit, I complimented the manager regarding our experience. Maybe she has short term memory. Bc when left as she stoodat the hostess desk we dod not evenget a thank you come back, just a very displeased look.. Positive- macaroni bits. Zucchini chips, fried pickles, shrimp,and grits. However, these items get⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️'s Negatives - Overall, customer service and management need a makeover-get- negative ⭐️

I learned about Tribeca years ago from a friend that is a regular there because he said they have a great bar area and selection. I did not dine in the bar area (I was seated in the rear dining area) but I did pop thru the bar area for a look see and it looked like the few patrons there were having a good time, ESPECIALLY when they noticed my camera flash! (Yes, the photos are posted). This is a DISCLAIMER moment...As ALWAYS, this review is not sponsored and unpaid and always 100% based on my own experience. I give reviews to help fellow diners and to help mgmt make improvements, not to hurt or judge anyone or any place unfairly. That said, so here's the skinny... The GOOD: Menu: American pub fare with a few upscale twists. Tribeca is well known for their burgers and their bar, but we opted for a short rib sandwich and fish & chips, from the main dining room instead. Both were decent enough to recommend it to others. Plus the menu had something for everyone to enjoy, even your vegan friends!. Staff: The chef and the host & wait staff are attentive, cheery/playful (but professional) and try to meet you dietary and other needs. Ambiance: It was pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon in Spring (pre-COVID era) but I did notice they have al fresco dining either downstairs or upstairs, weather permitting. Upstairs is great for a private party or ceremony. The NOT SO GOOD: Decor: The seating area in the dining room needs new furniture (or to be reupholstered) due to wear and tear. Plus it's a tad dark so, yes, it could use some upscaling throughout, especially given its location and clientele are used to a certain... Standard. Should you disagree, just take a quick look around the parking lot there...luxury cars abound. SUMMARY: I LIKE IT - SO WILL YOU!! FEEDBACK: Owners: I hope you made great use of being closed during CORONAVIRUS QUARANTINE in the Spring & Summer of 2020 and updated your restaurant. Customers: Stop in! You'll be glad you did!

Re-rereview...for some reason. My ⭐️ rating did not take. And it still showed 2 stars...my recent experience was definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Tribeca has redeamed itself!

I'm not going to remove the below review from a few years ago, but leaving it there in case anyone wants to read it for reference.

Based on our experience tonight I'm revising my rating from 2 stars to 5. I wish I had gotten pictures of our food. It was so good when we dug in. But of course then it was too late. And of course our server, Trina, that is short for "Katrina"...apparently they named the hurricane after her. 🤣 Seriously though she was nothing like a hurricane, but a very good server. Would never mind being seated at one of her tables. I'm not going to go into detail about what we ordered. There is a lot of relay good food to choose from. We plan on going back soon! My point is there has been a 180° turn around in the food quality since the last review I left. You can tell so.eone in the kitchen really cares about what they are doing...and executing on that is a phenomenonal way. We used to go here often, so when we say they were on the Triangle Restaurant Week list, we thought they would be a good choice. Unfortunately, we were disappointed and reminded why we had not been there for a while. First let me say our server was great, but not much he could do to improve it a sub-pare menu. We started with our appetizer which if we had stopped there this would have been a very different review. It was the best part of the meal. The beef medallions we order were cook as we requested, but really were just barely ok, actually the spinach and potatoes there were served with were better. Then the dessert, blueberry cheesecake, but it resembled nothing of cheesecake. Not sure what it was. The restaurant is just not great if you are looking for a romantic evening out. Then they seated family's with children on both sides of us. On the bottom of the check. They invite you to fill out a survey I order to get $5 off your next...
