Went in last night with a buddy to get some food and drinks, and to watch a college basketball game that featured a team playing 20 miles down the road.
Came in, sat at the bar, ordered our first round of drinks and asked the bartender to put the game on. His response was basically a run around and we knew at that point he wasn’t going to put in the game.
When ordering food the bartender interrupted me mid order to tell me they don’t offer the same pizza by the slice as other ruckus locations. That was fine, ordered something else. But after that point the bartender maybe talked to us 3 more times for the hour we were there. I tried to put in an additional order for an appetizer and when I went to get the bartenders attention he made eye contact with me and then proceeded to very cheerfully go chat with the guy a few seats down from me and never came to take my order again. This continued for the rest of the evening as we watched others around us receive prompt service from the bartender, but not us.
Realized later the game was on a different tv in the restaurant. Asked a host if we could move to a table to watch it at which point we were told if we moved the bartender would still be our server. Was also told our bartender was the only one in the restaurant who could change any channels on the tv.
Overall, it was just a very poor experience and between me and my friend we ended up spending less than half of what we had intended to when we walked in.
Do yourself a favor and go to the ruckus down the road in Raleigh, or just don’t go to one at all. This is my third poor experience at the one in Cary, last time they forgot some of our parties order, so I doubt I’ll return. I’ve even recommended this place to people and won’t be doing that...
Read moreI am not particularly fussy, but my first visit to this restaurant for lunch was one of my worst dining experiences in years. I was ignored for over ten minutes after being seated. I was preparing to leave when my waitress visited and took my order. She returned with my salad a few minutes later, but no drink. She turned immediately to the table next to mine when I asked for my soft drink, and apparently didn't hear. It was about 25 minutes after I was seated that I got my drink. The service wasn't just slow, it barely existed. I did receive a refill when another section's server took pity on me and got one from the bar. My server was polite and congenial, she may have just been terribly overworked. The place was busy but not overwhelmed (my guess). After I finished my food, the server did not return with my check until someone else stopped by to ask how I was doing (sitting with wallet and empty glass) and went looking for her.
Food: The food was just OK. My blackened Mahi-Mahi Panini was served on toasted (not pressed) flavorless white bread. They were thick slices, but the local term for this is "Texas Toast" - not focaccia! The fish was pleasant and flavorful but there was nothing else going for this entree. The pasta salad was made primarily from elbow noodles and mayonnaise. Not awful, but not at all memorable. Sandwich, drink and side salad came to a bit under fourteen dollars. You can find much better food locally for less.
Environment: Hearing damage. All reflective surfaces, loud music, and people raising their voices to be heard over it. I can't really blame them for that considering the...

The Bad:
1.There was a hair on the pizza. It was small, but it didn't come from either of the 2 of us sitting at the table. That was gross but I extracted the hair from the pizza and will just not eat that piece.
When we reviewed our bill, the pricing was incorrect. This was only on the drinks. The happy hour special was not given to 2 of our drinks. There was another drink ordered that was regular price and that one also rang up on our bill higher than the price stated on the menu. The waitress apologized and swiftly corrected the issue.
We came at like, 2pm on a weekday and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Because of the low volume, the staff were walking around talking to each other and 2 of them were eating in the dining room in-between rolling Silverware. It was a little annoying to be around them while they are hanging out and congregating around the area we are eating.
The pizza had hardly any cheese and the toppings were scare. It overall lacked flavor. The amount of cheese needs to visible.
The hostess is wearing shorts so high cut you can pretty much see her @ss. This isn't hooters nor is it the beach. She also looked super young and it just....inappropriate.
Good: Pizza was good! Back in college I used to hang out at the Ruckus on Western all the time so I'm familiar with their pizza. But this time, I ordered a whole pie and the crust was better than I remember. Very...
