Mi Cancun is a delightful Mexican restaurant that offers a taste of Mexico right in Cary, Morrisville, and I am sure other places in the Triangle as well. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with vibrant Hispanic decorations, warm colors, and a lively atmosphere that sets the stage for a casual yet fulfilling dining experience. The menu at Mi Cancun is a culinary journey through the diverse flavors of Mexican cuisine. Whether you're a fan of tacos, enchiladas, burritos, or traditional dishes like mole and chiles en nogada, you'll find something to satisfy your cravings. The flavors are divine, and the portions are generous, making it an excellent value for your money, which may I add, isn't as expensive as it should be for what you are receiving. One standout feature of Mi Cancun is its extensive drink menu. Although I cannot drink, looking at the menu is always fun as they have a variety of fruity margaritas and tequilas. The attentive and friendly staff is also a highlight, providing excellent service that enhances the overall dining experience. The service has never taken more than 20 minutes to get your food and you can be in and out as long or short as you please. Mi Cancun is a popular spot for casual dining. Whether you're looking for a fun night out with friends or a place to celebrate a birthday, the restaurant's festive ambiance and delicious food make it a great choice. If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine, Mi Cancun is a must-visit restaurant that will leave your taste buds satisfied and your...
Read moreMi Cancun is the real deal! From the moment you step inside, you're transported straight to Mexico. The atmosphere is spot-on, vibrant, lively, and full of those nostalgic vacation vibes, reminding me of family trips down south. But it’s not just the ambiance that stands out; the food and drinks are equally as authentic.
Let’s talk tacos, absolutely fantastic! I had the chance to try a few different ones, and each bite was better than the last. The shrimp and chorizo combo was a standout for me, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The asada tacos were on point as well, tender, juicy, and packed with that savory punch you'd expect from an authentic Mexican taqueria. I’m already looking forward to trying the fish tacos next!
The guacamole was a highlight. Freshly made right in front of us, you could taste the quality of the ingredients. And the chips, oh man, they were perfectly warm and crispy, as if they’d just come out of the fryer.
The service here is top-notch too. Our server was not only attentive but also super friendly, adding to the overall welcoming vibe of the place. The lunch specials are a great deal, but we decided to indulge in the dinner menu to make sure we could try as many tacos as possible. Definitely worth it!
Can’t wait for my next visit. If you're craving authentic Mexican food, Mi Cancun is the...
Read moreWe had heard nice things about this place so wanted to give it a try. We went on a Saturday night without a reservation, not a smart idea at many Triangle restaurants, but no worries, we were immediately sat at a nice spacious table! The table was quite unsteady, which annoys my wife, but not a huge deal. Otherwise, the restaurant space was actually great, much nicer than other options in the area, lots of light.
The menu was pretty simple and well organized, not too many options, which we’ve seen at other Mexican restaurants in the area. We tried the chorizo queso dip, it was awesome… Our family all likes this dip and we probably look like crazy people all going for it at once!
The entrees were very good, better than normal in comparable restaurants. We will be back! My wife and son are tough critics usually, and here they both were totally happy, that says a lot.
My only concern was the drinks, I got two different kinds and didn’t really like either one. I wanted a good margarita, but didn’t...
