Wendy's — Restaurant in Cary

I went to Wendy’s Airport Blvd(RDU) today for a late lunch(around 3pm). I ordered a #4 chicken Classic with American cheese combo, no pickles. In addition I ordered a junior frosty. The young lady gave me the bag and said thank you, I said you forgot my frosty…. She apologized and went to get it, in the meantime Because the sandwich doesn’t come with cheese, I wanted to double check it was on there. When I opened the bag, I noticed I had a regular size fries as well as a small or kid fries…. So I said to the young lady you gave me two fries, maybe they misunderstood, for the frosty. I took my sandwich out and I gave the bag back to the lady. When I opened the sandwich I noticed it didn’t have tomato, so I asked the young lady what comes on the sandwich, she confirmed tomato, she asked if she could give it to me separate on a plate, I agreed! The other young lady came back with my bag, which I’m still not sure what she did cuz she still had both fries in the bag, they handed me the frosty and I asked again about the tomato, she then said they are out of tomatoes, that’s why it’s not on my sandwich. I pulled off, headed back to work eating my tomatoless sandwich, I opened my frosty…. I couldn’t believe they really saw that mess and thought it was okay to serve me. Disgusting!

I called and called…. Of course no answer.

It would’ve been better if they said we are out of tomato and allow me to decide if I still wanted the sandwich, also if the frosty machine wasn’t working or wasn’t ready, I rather them do that than serve me like a dog. Worse experience ever! I just need to...

We did a drive through order. We were the only ones in the whole place. They forgot one of our sandwiches, straws, pieces of one of the meals (dressing and what not), messed up on the sandwich instructions, and gave us not the right sandwich ordered. When we tried to get the items missing fixed, the person in the window gave us a hard time and was really rude. I never got a receipt, so I have to take her word for it that I ordered the wrong sandwich. The screen in the drive through is not working, so I couldn’t see things coming up as I ordered to make sure they were correct either. The sandwiches that were wrong clearly had been in the window for awhile and they were supposed to be plain, but weren’t. When I tried to get one of the missing sandwiches, she rudely asked me what I was holding as if I was lying about the missing sandwich. She didn’t seem to want to give us forks and multiple times forgot to give us straws that we ended up leaving unable to drink the drinks in the car. One of the ingredients in the taco salad was missing and they told after the fact that they were out of it and when we asked for dressing (the salsa was missing), she was bent out of shape about it, but I clearly said in the window prior to picking up the order that I needed EXTRA dressing and that was repeated back to me. It was just a terrible experience and I don’t usually write reviews. It was more about the rudeness and treating me like I was inconveniencing her when NO ONE was here instead of apologizing for the missing items and just...

I hate that I have to give this place a mediocre review... I love Wendy's. I favor them head and shoulders above other fast food burger places (rightfully or not). A part of that is because I enjoy their kid's toys more than anywhere else, but there was no kid's meal this time. I ordered a #2 combo with no bun - just extra lettuce to wrap it up instead. Perhaps they're used to someone else ordering this way and they prepared it the way that person likes it? I know my ex likes hers different from what I do... Regardless, I said what I wanted: -bun +lettuce. I was given no pickles, no tomato, no onions, and no condiments. I wanted all of those things, but I just received meat, cheese, and lettuce. Like I said - perhaps they were confused. Either way, they kinda went extreme with my simple modification. The burger was still good, and I still ate it (I got it to go and didn't see this until I was in the car), but it would have been better if they didn't put words in (and take food from) my mouth. And unfortunately, the fries were clearly not fresh. I know it's not easy to get fresh fries every time, but tepid fries are kind of always a disappointment. Good flavor, but I felt like I had to eat them super fast because it's winter and they weren't hot to begin with. We all know how cold...
