I tried Scooter's Coffee before in another state, but the coffee was too bitter for me, but decided to try again today, as I had a nice coupon. Unfortunately, the coffee is still too bitter for what I like, and so I will not return for coffee.
Update: Went back here for blended espressos the last 4 months, and they are good, but after today I have decided I am not returning. The management needs to step it up and teach their workers to remain consistent on prices and specials. I always get the same three flavors, either Almond Joy, White Chocolate with Rasberry, or Chocolate with Hazelnut. The price is always $6.29 total for a 20 oz. Today I went there, and there was a new gal, and she charged me over $7 (think it was $7.10) for the chocolate with Hazelnut. I told her she overcharged me, and she said because my drink was not a specialty drink, they charge extra for the hazelnut flavoring. I explained that I come there often and get the chocolate with hazelnut and was never charged extra before, but she cared less and argued with me. And so, I told her I would change my order and take the Almond Joy instead. How does it make sense to add a syrup flavor to the Almond Joy drink for $6.29, but charge me extra $$ to add a flavor to another drink? As well, a few months back we were told that drinks were half price on every Saturday, til noon, but when my husband and I returned a few weeks later, the gal at the window did not know anything about this special. This happened about three times more, after that. I used to own an expresso business years ago, and inconsistency of this nature will destroy a business. Customers return for three reasons: taste, price, and specials. If they do not get what they are told, they will not return. Bottom line, the manager is to blame for the inconsistencies, as he is doing a poor job training his employees and...
Read moreBeen coming here just about every weekend ordering a cappuccino hot w/ oat milk. Never had any problems. 10/26 I come for my usual and I get handed a blended drink. I ask what it is. The girl says itâs a cappuccino⌠she goes onto to tell me I ordered a cappuccino not a latte with a condensing attitude. My reply âif I wanted a latte I would have ordered a latte. I ordered a cappuccinoâŚhotâ she goes onto say that scooters cappuccinos are blended. I ask to speak to a barista. She throws more attitude and says that theyâll just make it hot, but stands there staring at me as if she had a few choice words for me. Seconds later a different person opens the window and hands me hot drink. It tastes like black coffee with steamed milk (Iâm allergic to dairy which is why I order Oat) Still NOT what I ordered. I have always been respectful, and I have always tipped generously. Suffice to say. I will no longer be...
Read moreWell, after a few months of just so-so coffee, I don't know why I keep going here. They've gone from exemplary, friendly service to "here's your wrong order, go away." They don't thank you for paying their paychecks and mess up the order 4 out of 5 times. Plus they changed their rewards system and now it sucks. Super annoying. Tonight will be the last time I go. Go to the new place in Coolidge instead.
Original review: Being from Nebraska originally, I was so excited when I saw this being built! They're ALWAYS friendly, cheerful and helpful; and my order is usually correct. But I've found that if I want a hot drink, I need to get there before 10a so I don't get an overly-sweetened sugar bomb with a hint of coffee. After 10a, I only get iced lattes because cold drinks seem to be the late morning/afternoon crew's forte. It's no Black Rock,...
