FIRST AND LAST VISIT HERE! Terrible experience, bad food. Perhaps the lowest score and rating I have given to a business (I have written many reviews). The only positive comment; the facilities and dining area very clean and well maintained. Otherwise, my first ever Jimmy John's experience was horrible. My colleague and I were staying at the nearby Sheraton Hotel, on a brief business trip. The restaurant dining options is limited in the area, especially without a car. My colleague is a huge fan of Jimmy John's and suggested we go there for dinner. I was excited to try Jimmy John's, as it would be a new experience. I've watched Jimmy John's grow and expand across the country, and I have heard great things about the food. Needless to say, my expectations was high. Unfortunately, my experience at this Grand Rapids location was a huge disappointment. From the beginning, the gentleman taking our order (possibly the store manager)was completely disinterested and somewhat insolent. The menu is large and very diverse. Both of us had menu questions, especially myself, and when we asked for suggestions and/or recommendations, he said he "had none" Not a really good spokesperson for the brand and product. I decided to order the BLT, giant size in order to make two meals, for a total of $21. I didn't think it possible to make a horrible BLT, Surprise! Jimmy John's found a way. Not only a bad BLT, but one of the worst sub sandwiches I have had. Soggy bread, mayo runny, very little bacon, strange taste. I couldn't finish it. Next morning at 3 a.m., I was sick. Unbeknownst to me, my colleague also sick during the night. Naturally, I discarded the second half of the sandwich. Nothing like throwing $21 out the window. I realize my poor experience at this one location should not be a reflection on the many other Jimmy John's locations. However, first impressions are everything. Read moreIf I could rate this shop with a 0 I would. I love Jimmy John's, I eat it at least twice a week. However, today at this store I was flabbergasted by the way I was treated. I ordered from another store, thinking it was this one on my way to the airport. When I got there an figured out it wa sthe wrong store the manager said "we would prefer you would do to the store you ordered from". This was when the nice gent at the register had said "we could probably call the other store to cancel the order , and remake it here for you" (I had already paid on the app). I was stunned that the manager thought it "would just be preferred " that I go 15 minutes out of my way on the way to the airport. I will not order from this...
Read moreJimmy John’s is my daughters favorite restaurant and so subsequently she wanted Jimmy John’s for her birthday meal. My wife ordered Jimmy John’s from the drive-through however when we got home the bread was stale to the point where my daughters couldn’t bite into it. I promptly returned to get new subs for my family. The manager kindly obliged and made it right, remaking the subs for my little daughters. The workers were helpful and friendly. It goes a long way to help the customer like that. Jimmy John’s will continue to be our go-to spot on “errand night” and on my daughter’s birthday. Thank you...
